Arm chair coaches are saying Kerr is dumb for not playing Steph more in this year's finals. I don't think Kerr is dumb or making a bad decision with Steph's playing time. I think Steph's conditioning has not fully returned. Steph's foot was messed up which meant he could not keep his cardio up to NBA 40+ minute-a-game standards. Top notch cardio doesn't just return at the snap of a finger. Also, you need your body to be healthy enough to handle the cardio conditioning routines. If your foot is messed up you probably can't do the best routines/exercises that get your cardio back to top level. Steph is noticeably slower in every 4th quarter of this finals. There is no magic potion Kerr can give Curry to cure that problem.

If the Warriors win then Steph easily wins the MVP. Also, Wiggins shooting has been below average ... especially considering how unguarded and wide open he is all the time.

Now, for the Celtics, if they do come back and win games 6-7, I don't see any front runner from them for Finals MVP. It's going to depend on who steps up for those two games. They do seem to be the deeper team but nobody has consistently showed up and played well.

Wiggins is wide open on more than 60% of his 3s and taken more wide open 3s than any other Warrior. He has shot 32% from 3. Wiggins has taken 1.. that is right ONE 3 pointer where he was covered. He was wide open or open on every other 3. The interior Celtics defense is crippled by the fact that 2 guys are chasing Steph and Klay 30 feet from the basket. This makes it easier for Wiggins to drive inside. His shooting is below average this series and in the playoffs. Wiggins has evolved from a below average player to an above average play. However, I gather extreme takes are the in-thing on this new fangled internet forum board technology eh? During the big Wiggins debate there was some guy calling Wiggins "trash" while i evaluated that he was a below average average starter with an outside chance of being an all star. For added humour i'll include a line from the Canadian Poly thread... On May 23 2022 08:19 JimmyJRaynor wrote: 43 years ago today Joe Clark became the 16th PM of Canada. Now Wiggins being on the cusp of winning the championship as the teams second best player must be killing all the haters. Im not sure Ill have time to post all the I told you so's You can post all the "I told you so"s you want. It doesn't mean that Wiggins isn't still just Canadian Derozan. He's the 3rd, maybe 4th best player on the team depending on the day. He just happened to be the guy that was open in game 5... That's just how basketball works sometimes.

TBF I've never been one of the people saying he's the worst player in the league or even a bum, just overpaid and not a #1 option. I've been fairly consistent in comparing him to Derozan and have always felt his proper place in the NBA is a 3rd-ish option on offense. His defense has improved, which makes sense because defense is mostly effort, and it seems like he's trying harder (maybe because he's on a better team, and finally in his proper fit?). I've questioned his effort in years past too, same as I question Harden's most years. He's like the... Phil Kessel, of the NBA.
