To me, its more like the format of GSL allow for more suprise and early elimination. DH EU allow 4 players/group to advance and there is also the double-elimination in the playoff, so its very rare to see a top player drop out like Serral did recently. Imagine GSL adopt the same format, get ride of code A and when straight with 6 player/group and 3 players advance per group, I am pretty sure we will see a more "stable" result.
