the way zoro beats apoo is so satisfying yet at the same time so disappointing. the way apoo loses is almost too pathetic its shameful hes considered a supernova at all. and kaido showing why being a dragon puts him at whitebeard level

I'm really disappointed with Sanji's character though. I guess this is a moment when he might grow up but it's annoying how he falls for same shit over and over again. They're up against Yonkous and he still can't control himself lol. Hoping for 2021 being the year of Sanji!

+ Show Spoiler + If Kaido was able to cut an island-sized cross section with his fire clouds without even breaking a sweat then why doesn't he use that attack more often? He could literally have just annihilated all of the scabbards with one spell.

Islands are just hills/mountains that are higher than sea level. You very much have to cut or destroy rock to lift an island in the same way you have to cut rock to lift a mountain. You can't grab a mountain and lift it, as a mountain is just the tip of planetary crust. Of course One Piece is a fantasy world, but nothing indicates that sea islands are any different from what we know in real life.

Of course One Piece is a fantasy world, but nothing indicates that sea islands are any different from what we know in real life. what makes you think just because its an island it doesnt mean it could be lifted out of the crust of the earth (world)? the last frame definitely doesnt look like kaido cut the island parallel to the earth (worlds) crust. any geotechnical engineer will tell you the crust is made up of a lot of different compositions of soil and rock and the strength of the foundation is different at any point and depth. if you were to apply enough upward force at the right point its not hard to imagine that an island or mountain could be pulled out of its foundations; the strength of the foundation would just have to be weaker than the mountain itself. a similar analogy would be the difference between pulling off the top of a weed and pulling the weed out at its roots. what matters is where you apply the force

I'm also curious to know what Law's role is in all this now that he's on his submarine and cut off from the rest.

Or if that's too hard, just take Onigashima and flip it upside down. Everyone on the roof will fall to their deaths and everyone inside would smash into the ceiling. Kaido clearly does not care about the fodder in his crew so it's not like he's worried about losing them and all of his commanders would probably survive the impact.
