Just a question though, I dunno if you guys drink on occasion or something of the sort. Do you guys feel that affects the dieting process of drinking a couple beers or alcoholic beverages if you are going out with friends or at parties? I think it doesn't if you limit it to once/twice every one/two weeks, and when you do drink, you drink in moderation. However, if I start to drink on social occasions, I tend to get peer pressured to do it more than I'd like. So for me, I don't drink except maybe once or twice a year.

It is a great motivation for other people. It is even better when it comes from someone who has the first hand experience than someone who was always fit. I just wanted to write to everyone, it is almost all in your mind. If you want to change something you really have to be dedicated and focused. The good thing is that human body is a amazing thing. It will adapt to whatever you do. All you have to do is do the things your body should adapt to and it will. The more you expose it to it the better it is. Make it your habit and it will come naturally. For a good life style this comes to good eating and healthy amount of exercise. There is no hard science in it if you are not planning to win the Olympics. If you are not active ie. you sit a lot. You should eat less and do some exercise like walking, running, lifting in gym or yoga (stretching its important when you sit a lot). You should drink only water with no sugar, eat more greens (cooked or raw, they make you full but they do not have much calories), beans, meat, rice and so on... Basically the less processed it is the better (do not buy premade stuff). You should have in back of your mind: how much do I move = what I burn -> how much I can eat. If you are The Mountain you can eat a lot if you are a gamer with almost no muscle not so much (especially meals with high calories like fast food). Exercise is good if you want loose wight but not necessary a lot of it comes from what you eat (your body burns some number of calories a day to maintain itself, the more muscle you have the more it needs even if you are not working out). It is hard to burn calories so it is silly to eat to much and then exercise to burn them. Exercise is good for your body health, your mobility, strength, hearth. You exercise to feel good mainly to get your body and organs working. To compensate that you sit a lot. More muscle you have the more calories your body needs to maintain them, but also you have to use those muscles otherwise the body thinks: ok i have to maintain it but he does not use them and some times i do not have enough to maintain it so lets get rid of it when its not needed. That is the bad side of how good your body can adapt to things. I have wrote more I wanted so i will better stop now. I wish to all that want to change strong will and all the best!
