you seem to forget he went berserk then mini chick was being manipulated, he acts all calm but deep down hes got a temper

getting angry when your nakama are being abused or having a temper is one thing, being evil is another.

also didnt he used to be a member of said country before abandoning them?
and just watch and then go "fuck it who cares" when Serena was killed?
why do people seem to think hes a good guy...? mini chick has basically been saying from start hes gonna slaughter them all

He was fighting for his convictions, he didn't appear to enjoy it for the sake of slaughter. He has been pretty calm throughout this war and now he is rando flipping into wanting to see Gildartz's sorrow and rage if he kills his daughter? No one thought he was a good guy but his flavor of villian looks like its going to change radically just like Irene's did.
|
I guess that makes mystogan evil too, cause he went to slaughter all of phantom's guild branches all those chapters ago.
You're missing the point here.

ya cause he got so much development, why we know practically everything about him /s
this is the first time we even see him interact with people in a fight

You guys really don't want August to make Gildartz go berserk? We've been literally waiting for more Gildartz and if this is the only way we get him, then so be it. More Gilzdartz the better.
Brandish (mini chick) has always stated that August was the more terrifying wizard under Zeref, that he may be more powerful than Zeref. Zeref is jsut immortal. August knows all magic that has been developed (mostly anyway).

Zerefs always been a wierd conundrum we really havent seem him do much of anything, just stories of the things he may or even may not have done, supposedly he was associated with the dragon war but i cant remember what happened there

This latest chapter had it all. I mean, really? Who saw that ending coming? And I'm surprised August doesn't know the truth. Like Mavis, Zeref can't love. Or it dies. He can't love his own child because he will literally kill him.

Either way, everyone knows he's been struggling with it. That's who he is. point is though, he cant just willfully not love his kid, doesnt work that way, the simpler answer is he just never got attached to him,who knows how long it took for the 2 of them to meet, Zeref didnt have custody of Mavis body, i doubt Hades would have mailed him off to an enemy nation, Zeref simply never had any opportunity or desire to get attached to him in any way

idk, I kind of understood this chapter I guess.
Zeref did always feel special stuff towards Natsu, I mean he became "Zeref" really just so he could save him. and we don't know much about rakheid, or if he really is his actual son or not. Plus Fairy tail does not exactly have a track record of fathers having healthy relationships with their children, it's always.. complicated.
I think we shouldn't overestimate love for children here(in FT i mean) just because Rakheid might have been born from a woman zeref banged(and we don't even know if that's actually the case) doesn't mean he automatically loves or even wants to love the kid. I mean it's safe to assume that he doesn't want to, as if it were only the "he can't love him, or he dies" thing then he wouldn't squash him like a bug here.
This was actually the first panel where Rakheid was in the same room as Zeref, lol.

Rakheid might be a constant reminder of the life he could have had if it wasnt for the curse, a constant reminder of Mavis, of the things he lost

I really wonder how the fuck he got the kid out of there or how it was able to grow in those conditions.
|
he might be. But i'd say there's like a 99.9999% chance that zeref legit doesn't give a fuck. Also not sure what mavis has to do with it, since considering the backstory, there's no way that's mavis' kid.

getting it out would be hard but Mavis cant die so her body was still alive, the embyro could keep eating as much as it wanted, Mavis body cant die so it wouldnt run out of nutrients

mavis died in zeref's arms, so unless he fucked a corpse, I'd say hades saying something's growing inside there doesn't hold much credit.

But Mavis was in stasis and wasn't eating anything so there really wasn't anything for it to eat. Plus wouldn't the crystal pretty much be like a stasis like state where all biological functions were frozen?

apparently not, the fetus would suck nutrients from the mother just like normal, it could be a problem if mavis carried it the entire 9 months but im guessing hades removes it a hell of alot sooner then that
