This is awesome. I've been wanting to do a long distance walking holiday for a while, probably in Scandinavia too. Did it end up being relatively cheap? Where did you find details on the route/cabins?
|
most expensive shit is always getting there. still pretty cheap ended up aroudn 400€ for the whole 2 weeks (flight, 1 night hostel, transit to and from airport, train to the trail, train from the trail,)
during the hike u basically only pay for food which is cheap i think i ended up eating for ~50€ for the 12 days
other than that equipment beforehand ofc

what a waste of ketchup man. nah jk awesome photos.

In the summer, a dude came to the campingsite I worked at at night. He had bicycled over 160km in one day and he was over 85. There are some tough old folk out there.

thats awesome dude the sausage roll looks really tastey . also that is the only way to use ketchup lol

Such nature, it's beautiful.
I heard mosquitoes were a pain during summer in Sweden. Is that true around september? Any more sun than on your pics? I'll definitely trip in Scandinavia one day. Also don't pick some big jars like the one we see if you want your backpack lighter, and that huge wooden chopping board, get a smaller and plastic one. I hope the axe is not yours too?
|
nah barely any mosquitoes where i was also i was mid to late august i just didnt write the blog until now
also heard alot fo nightmare stories about the ticks but i saw 1 tick total and it wasnt even on someone
|
im more amazed you made your own bread.
|
Mosquitos is local problems, depending on weather, season and proximity of still water/ swamps. Of you are in the wrong place at the wrong time it can be hell. The farther north you go the more problem you can get but its still impossible to say generally. I guess you can find mosquito schemes somewhere if you really are concerned.
If you have a fire and some repellent its usually fine even far north.

|
dont you need to add yeast to it? and an oven?
|
you can add yeast/baking powder but its not required it just gets better.
can just roll it around a stick and hold it in the fire (as seen in the last picture)
|
nice. havent tried that before

Was it wheat flour? Because if that was ,then it sounds same as standard Indian "roti" . U just roll the dough and roast it on pan or fire directly

i didnt know that's how they made roti. til
