Never seen units move like that in Warcraft 3 ... I'm just saying. Grunts with that kind of movement efficency are just scary, they don't seem to have the bulk they did in original. Just look at em in 3:21... Of course they could "fix" the balance to the new pathing, but that is a whole different can of worms.

Much effort should be put into preserving exact Warcraft 3 movement or the balance is going to change dramatically. Never seen units move like that in Warcraft 3 ... I'm just saying. Thats why SC II is no Broodwar HD, you cant fuck the pathing, movement and so on up like 10-15 years ago. If Blizzard would add WC3 back to Bnet Launcher + direct inbuild W3A connection, the game would be breathing and living so much. With their failed B.net ladder reset some time ago, they had to notice how much the game is still loved and played and they confirmed that at least one guy was part time working on WC3 support. So there is still hope they add it to the launcher. Everything else, like a HD version, will alternate the Warcraft III experience due to the unique pathing.

Spacing/unit size should be preserved but I'd be fine with the pathing AI being improved so it's somewhere above "absolutely incompetent" to put it nicely. It would make the game so much less frustrating to play.

It would make the game so much less frustrating to play. This is exactly why I brought it up. everyone will look at it as an "improvement" and it will never be questioned. but then the final product will be a totally different game - say undead will be SUPER strong, but no one can figure out why - or god forbid orcs are even worse... when everything in the game is "the same" !??! .. don't forget pathing, that's all I'm saying. I think its a much bigger player than post people think - they think of it as a convenience or an advancement, when it can cause huge changes. And no, it would not be that hard to implement an almost identical pathing system from warcraft 3. The units would just be limited to much larger hexagonal mapping and not allowed to be pushed ... though as you can see already, the QQ would probably be immense. I love the comment of "what was wrong with it before" ... so true. So you have to click and pay attention to your units for them to do what you want ... so what? I say "deal with it"

of course you can still block and surround, cause it works only for friendly units

While I would also love to play this mod, I doubt that it will become a huge success. I mean it will just be an arcade game within SC2. no matchmaking ladder/ranking or anything like that.. And as for 3rd party matchmaking Client I look at the "popular" Starbow. It never got a decent playerbase despite the Hype and TL Support/progamer Support.
