Just a remake of an old one. And it adds up with what Blizzard has said in the past; about how they want to bring back their older games for new PCs. The real question is how HD is HD. If it's just an Age of Empires II-like HD, then... it'll suck. If they actually bring the graphics to HotS-level, then it'll rock. I feel like if there really is something coming, it'll be announced at BlizzCon. I BELIEVE! | ||

not like AoE. I am not able to guess whether a pic is from HD or not. same with Baldurs Gate. btw: Grubby will stream Wc3 more often now, and also make a new season of Wc3 commentairies. | ||

Come on! thats pure MOBA with nonsensical SC/Diablo characters mixed in, thats not War4 War4 will still retain some RTS aspects (at least being able to control creep units) with basebuilding/resource collection massively toned down for casual play. IF War4 ever appear thats how it will be like, bet on it. | ||

And unfortunately there isn't exactly an uproar from people who want WC4... just a handful of nerds in a pocket of RTS, which is basically a moribund genre except for SC. | ||

Yeah, the large majority of HotS heroes are from the Warcraft lore. People have complained about it, too. Though some of the heroes are a mixture of WoW and WC3. Chen for example is arguably a Pandaren Brewmaster, but the actual character is from WoW:MoP. Same goes for Falstad (Gryphon Rider) or Gazlowe (Tinker). Rehgar is WoW only I think? And so is E.T.C. Anywho, I agree. At this point, WCIII:HD is far more likely than WCIV. Which I like. | ||

 it is very interesting!btw, arent Lol and Dota 2 less userfriendly games than Wc3? I dont play them, but I hear the bad manner is strong in those communities, understandably since it is a team game. In Wc3 you can get away with low skill in team games, as long as you know how to produce stuff. So I dont think Wc4 should become less complex to appeal more to people. I think the gameconcept is pretty perfect for everyone and would be quite successful. | ||

Chen is a playable character in TFT Orc campaign. His ability set in Heroes is more or less a direct copy of the WC3 one, with a replacement in place of the passive ability. Rexxar, Kael'thas, Sylvanas, Thrall, Jaina, Anub'arak, Chen, Arthas, Muradin, Illidan, Malfurion, and Tyrande are all playable characters in the WC3 campaigns. Uther and Gazlowe are characters you can interact with in the campaign, but not play as. ETC and Gazlowe are both rendered as versions of WC3 hero units (TC and Tinker, respectively). A few HOTS heroes are takes on non-hero units: Rhegar (Shaman), Brightwing (Faerie Dragon), Stitches (Abomination), Murky (uh... Murloc #7?), and Falstad (Gryphon). Only LiLi isn't really related to WC3 at all. | ||

below is a post of a Chinese forum user from war3 replays site, insider information from personnel of dj.163.com (which houses the Netease gaming platform, a Chinese gaming platform/client similar to Steam/Garena), which is owned by Netease (the origin of the whole HD wc3/wc4 news starts from the weibo of Netease VP) + Show Spoiler + 晚上和网易对战平台（dj . 163 . com）的朋友聊了会。 问清楚一些情况了，新平台已经做好了，暂时不会新增功能了。独立的账户，还是网易系的账号来登录，不是战网。新平台开发人员大部分是网易对战平台（dj . 163 . com）的人，暴雪提供素材库。 还是2003年发布的那款冰封王座，补丁不会更新，新内容都在平台端实现，玩单机还和以前一样。 预计新增的内容是：录像系统改进，为了配合断线重连功能，1V1对战，如果一方突然没网，只要不是死机，游戏暂停，几分钟内可以在平台重新启动游戏加入战局。 皮肤和UI游戏内实时切换，切换后OB也可看到效果。 后期会加入彩色文字功能。 匹配模式是标配，锦标赛会启动，新地图不会加，都是暴雪标志图。 最早是下周四推出，如果推迟，最迟是10月14。 -A new WC3 game platform/client (which will be used to launch the actual game and to buy MTX) and server (housed in China) is made for the WC3 remake, separate from B.net 2.0. All new content is only available or purchasable through the new Netease WC3 game platform (which will be separate from the old Netease game platform AND from B.net 2.0) -coloured font support to be added later (lol) -new matchmaking system (probably similar to sc2?), there will be ladder seasons, standard blizzard maps to be used (kek) earliest to be released this week thursday, if not by 14th Oct. | ||
