For the first time ever, you secured two wins in one match. How do you feel?
Personally, since Maru is the better player, I felt that the right decision would have been to send him out for the ace match. But I was able to resolve my own doubts because the supervisor kept on giving me courage. Honestly, I am just so glad that I was able to secure two wins like this in a single match. This was my happiest moment in my entire pro gaming career.
Were you satisfied with your own performance today?
I am really satisfied. I want to give myself 100 out of 100. I was able to play exactly the way that I wanted to without even taking any harassment.
How do you experiment with these strategies?
I think a lot on my own, and I come up with strategies by discussing them with teammates. sOs is the one who especially helps me out the most. He knows just how to play protoss so that it becomes difficult, so he ends up teaching me a lot of things. I feel like I keep coming up with good strategies because I keep on experimenting.
The completion of your strategy was really high.
When I first started off, I actually lost a lot (laughs). But I kept on practicing and allowed the strategies to form. While it’s important to experiment with new strategies, it’s just as important to keep practicing them so that you can perfect them.
Who did you practice with to perfect this specific bane drop strategy?
For this particular strategy, Symbol hyung and Terminator hyung helped out a lot. Terminator hyung especially helped me out because he kept pointing out holes that I needed to fix. I am truly grateful to him for that.
We heard that you watch your own flying locust strategy VODs quite frequently.
I tend to watch those matches about twice a day (laughs). My usual routine is to watch it once after I wake up in the morning and eat breakfast. I think I’ll be frequently watching this match against herO as well (laughs).
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank my teammates for helping me with practice and my supervisor for believing in me and sending me out as the ace. I will work hard so that I can show an even better performance for next time.
