But you know, these days, I just can't get into video games anymore. They always sound like a lot of fun, like a great idea, until I start playing. Then after a couple hours, I just stop enjoying it. I only occasionally come to check TL still, for a little SC news, the general forum, and sometimes the blogs. In my opinion, yes, there probably should come a day when you are too old for certain things. And I would say when you start FEELING too old, that's probably when you are. Sometimes, I think people persist in old habits because they remember how good things used to feel, rather than how those things actually affect them in the present.

So no then I won't go, but that was very close! mmm and if i admit it, I should have put my kid on brood war, he liked sc2bw and I miss my favorite square/pixels, but that was a political decision, I sadly admit it. in all cases sc forever! Now I need to convince you that you are not too old for tl. Joke aside, I agree that if I ask the question, I should follow it with the diva good bye. Just be here and only post once a week because I like to join conversations but not have this "need" to do it might make it a little "purer". Hope you still think somewhere in there that video games are chill cool stuff and that this hasn't been broken in you and that it will never be broken. Thank you for sharing, meant a lot to do it I think, wasn't easy for me to play the age card on tl, and I feel all naked and stuff now On August 28 2015 03:55 catplanetcatplanet wrote: damn fluidrone is actually pretty fucking awesome, thanks for sharing! You know you are old when your cat sits on your "work" seat behind your back and you not only let it, but make more room for it <3 I do this all the time. Also, I'm 37, married, with children. So your definition of 'old' is correct!

Definitely never too old for TL! :D :D I think it would be cool to have a thread/topic/discussion for us that are at different stages of life (married, kids, etc) Serious question: anyone else feel cheated that there's generally lot's of attention given to the period of time when you first start getting hair in new places but nobody warns you about it happening a second time?

I assume there are a lot of people of the 80/90 gamer generation here, and these must all be around 35 to 45 by now. We're just seeing the Brood War generation getting old. Most of us still love video games, and as long as that doesn't change, you're never too old for TL. I'm 36 myself, married for 7 years, and I have a daughter and a son.

Congratulations! to you and the missus (she be doing all the work) Best thing ever, bet you are doing the naming as we speak. My advice? Choose a name that you can both say 50 times in a row (now) and still love it both, because that is a word you are going to say 100000000 times <3 Yes I agree with you, but if you start pulling hair growth into the "too old" you scare off the kids from posting There are reasons why no one tells you about it, and I cannot be the one to start this list (here). Mmmm, maybe just one: hair is different for everyone, some people complain about having too much, some losing too much, some "never in the right places". "We're just seeing the Brood War generation getting old" We are totally on the same page there, this is maybe why I wanted to showcase that tl is "that way" and that in the decade to come it will have more 30 year olds than 40 year olds and possibly as much as 20 year olds, for instance.. I will be 50 by then As a whole I can't get into brood war because I was never Iccup and that is my main inferiority complex in sc (my parents were quite fine/free but had a tooth against video games nonetheless. As a fanatic I think the kids will never go for bw unless it is repackaged unto a more recent platform (so as I said earlier, a political decision rather than an emotional calling taking over, and that is precisely the sort of f_cked up adult s#it I hate doing / having to do / realizing that I do it...) I do find that nostalgia makes things weird, not to mention your own kids getting into gaming. Thank you all for sharing your non olditude and for to and for tl. It wasn't until my late twenties that I really started figuring out what I like and don't like. I really wish I hadn't wasted so much time on things that no longer matter to me, but I do feel those experiences were necessary in order to teach me what's important and what isn't. Does anyone else here share my desire to shut yourself off from other people? Not everyone but most? I deactivated Facebook about a year ago and haven't looked back. I just.........don't want anything to do with most of it anymore.

We're also working with the name needing to be relatively easy to pronounce in English and Finnish! (No J, G, sh, ch, Y - how my parent's gave me a name with J and SH I never understand...) At least we've got one part narrowed down - ultrasound yesterday: a boy! :D :D

You the Sitting on top of the world and off of this world! "Luminous beings we are, .. not this crude matter" A boy! I have two, I hope you yearn for it, making kids is the real truman show movie. And there you might think I am kidding, that I meant it lightly. And there you could be thinking:" "what?" Yes, as soon as the little being is "here", as in "in the womb", it changes everything. The word new soon is replaced by an odd taxing old world. Also, the word new becomes the world "I know". Right now, you see all the pathways all the headings all the directions all the lies all the hope all the faith. Like truman you had led one life. Like truman, you will fall off the set (a projector falls down in the movie) and soon you will use 5 word sentences and see nothing but ..your boy. All realities previous to that will be weighed and measured against their worth to you, to your grill, to your social surrounding, to your bank account... it is endless. Not to worry, we fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up, we make new living beings for the purpose of magnifying something other than us, heavy stuff that has cost and rewards beyond what your mind can conceive while you are bringing them in this world, "the delivering" is an integral part of it.. And then... when it is all said and done, after a few months, a few years for some.. you will discover a new audience, a new truman moment .; you will have gone beyond the map, and you will watch him see you, as the kids always do to their parents, a self sustained and sustainable fearless cruel and loving audience. Enjoy every second and do sleep while he sleeps! at least just to get in the rhythm of it. Welcome to this world little "............," we where waiting for you, come and join in! Do talk to the fetus (communicate is a more appropriate word, but anything from a hug while digesting chocolate to baths with secured music is a must! The grill's womb is a temple, doesn't mean it doesn't sound like a party in there #never too early to communicate. Stimuli = response If you don't mind me I'll thank you again, I was in a rutty mood and had no prospect about how to get a smile on "on the inside" as well, so thank you y0su. *Tips fedora with a soothing 50ies smile. Edit: I am a worthless scoundrel for not saying earlier: Congratulations to the missus, she be doing all the work, so just take care of her!
