As some of you know, I made a blog www.liquiddota.com , where i predicted the TI5 Invites based on actual accomplishments through out the Season.
I'm very happy, that my Predictions where 100% correct for the direct invitations, and that Valve has a higher Priority for Teams Winning Tournements, than having a huge crowd of Fans.
I will write a bit about the Regional Qualifier Invitiations.
EU: Probably the easiest Region to Predict. My only complaint is that Power Rangers and 4ASC have gotten an Invite over Basicaly Unknown. I can Understand why Moscow 5 didnt get an Invite, based on their recent results, but Basicaly Unknown played very well all Season long.
CH: Nothing really to say here. China has had maybe 2 Tournements in which the second Tier Teams could play. Not enough to get significant Results.
SEA: This Region's Invites are also pretty clear. Only MVP.Hot6 over First Departure is a bit questionable.
AM: Here lies my biggest complains with Valve. Not Inviting Pain Gaming, the Team that won the biggest South American Lan Tournement to the Qualifiers is a shame. Also inviting 1 South American and 8 North American Teams seems a bit weird to me. (and can someone pls explain what Root Gaming did this Season to earn a qualifier spot?)
Lastly i want to thank everyone who checked my blog out through this season. I will continue with it, until the Season ends. And maybe, I will make a new one for next Season.
Thx for Reading.

Good job. I'm sad about Rave but if it wasn't for your spreadsheet I would also be angry.

About Basically Unknown, their captain and star player Mind_Control left around a week ago, and since then they've looked pretty bad.

+1 for meritocracy, good work Qody

I think in terms of ROOT you just have to be watching the NA Qualifiers where they've constantly been in the finals / semi-finals of pretty much all of them. So they've looked a lot more consistent compared to other teams in the NA region.
also amazing work really well thought out as always.

Qody's blog was one of, if not the best blog of the year imo and he kept it up to date too. To be able to mathematically predict ti invites in a scene where there was only a lot of speculation, quite an achievement!
Looking at your statistics, i think valve made a mistake with paingaming, who has grinded 15 ti-points, which is quite alot. Maybe they have had some recent rosterchanges? Because valve certainly doesnt like rosterchanges (BU & mindcontrol).
Thx Qody, keep up the good work!
Edit: Liquipedia states they recently had a rosterchange, so team BU and PG both ruined/lowered their chances at qualifying, i quote: "06th April, 2015, paiN Gaming confirmed that hFn is no longer player of the team due behavioral problems, Sune is confirmed on the team."
