I'm not sure my post is forum worthy, so instead I decided to post a question in my blog. I had searched the Strategy forum and couldn't find anything particularly useful. Anyway, I have been wondering about the best way to deal with Zealot harassment inside your main in the early game scenario. On a map like bluestorm, he can always bring in his zeals through the larger ramp outside the nat. Let's assume I one gate and upon scouting I see he has two gates; therefore, I add my second gate. I mean it seems to me that there are a variety of options here, I could gas first and then add my second gate or I can add my second gate and then gas. Which is the better alternative in terms of timing? I know everything is relative, but generalities are useful for my question. I'm fairly confident in my early game micro, its not the greatest but I believe it to be sufficient (who knows, maybe it really sucks xT). With his two gate, he wants to get his initial zeal into my base to harass. He wanders around to the ramp outside my nat and gets his zeal in and begins trying to attack my probes. By this time I have one zeal out and a second zeal ready to pop. I'm not sure the best method for dealing with this. Should I use the probes in my min line to attack his zeal? If so how many should I move? Should I move the probe he is attacking to antoher spot on the min line and try to block his zeal with my zeal? I'm not entirely sure the most cost effective method and I hope someone could clarify or give me a better perspective.

If you watch TL.net ATTACK with Nony, he handles this situation in at least one, maybe two games.

I think it depends a lot on the latency.... you have to do it differently on bnet than on hamachi or a connection with no lag (because you can actually, like, pull probes and they don't die).

Watch Nony. He basically handles it flawlessly.
