They did not include a key for this in the PC keybinding menu. If you plug in a game pad or any other type of input device that uses an analog stick you can walk by pressing the analog stick half way.
Was there a patch released? I just logged in to find all my settings reverted to default, but also the tactical camera seems to zoom out further than it did previously...

also, i'd like it if they did not limit camera views when on mount, takes away from being able to view the world and can't see when going up hill.
a simple cheat, though i havnt tried but heard it works, will try when im back home: change system (computer) time to finish the war table quests.
tip: dont switch character when your followers seem to be missing, you'll just teleport back to where you were, where they're stuck at.
the tactical camera would be much more tolerable if pressing F1-F4 once switched character & kept camera view and double tapping F1-F4 switched character & changed camera view
I typically only use tactical camera to scout ahead and see HPs / vulnerabilities. trying to constantly issue commands via Tactical View is to cumbersome for me due to camera view changing
being able to zoom the camera farther would also help

After you progress main story a little you unlock the option to manage the inventory of all characters while in your base.
But it does indeed not make sense why you can not do that during the first hours of the game.

its the way console gaming works

Stuff not making sense is a huge part of this dragon age game. Like the fact that I control as vast, sweeping army that can take over forts and other areas, but I can only hold a limited number of belts and necklaces.
At least the crafting is good. Though I need to get my main a new two handed weapon and a spirit rune to kill a fucking Dragon.
Fuck dragons, those things are dicks.

That's entirely my point :p

the second i got into haven, i did all the quests there, one was the blacksmith and i could access my while parties inventory.
I think a lot of people overlook the top right menu where you can change chars in menus.

That might actually be correct and it just took me a while to notice the arrows so I drew my own conclusion, thanks for clearing it up.

And i am obviously blind as well

31 hours and the game is incredible right now. This is what I was waiting for since I killed the Archdemon in DAO. It's a must play! I don't really care the bad kb+mouse controls anymore.
For the Inquisition!!

i didnt play MP yet, i guess you play one guy without pause in action view like a mini mmo?

Am I doing something wrong, or are the people crying OP on the knight enchanter being invulnerable damage machine playing on lower difficulties? I picked it for my character, went out to test it and was totally unimpressed. In tactical mode, actually making your character do the melee swings with the lightsaber is tedious as all fuck, and it doesn't replenish even nearly enough barrier to be "invulnerable". The damage from the swings is okay I guess, but after reading people say how OP it is, this was a pretty big let down.
I think I'll rewind and pick rift mage instead. I'm not feeling the hype on KE.
|
KE is a defensive tree that spikes the barrier ability that you can put on your mage with spirit. its pretty simple
Follow the right side of the spirit tree for the barrier upgrades but have another soec into the party wide buff. Get the fire passives for double cast and reduced CD. Ice get the free cast passive and fade step + upgrade. Congrats you're near indestructible.
I've been having fun blowing shit up as an assasin rouge as I useualy do. aoe buids arn't as reliable with non magics. Fire mine way op yo omg.

I hope not, because the MP just suck balls.

Yes, I know how it's supposed to work, I'm just not feeling the effectiveness on hardest difficulty, which makes me wonder if people praising it to the moon are playing on something lower. If I need something invulnerable, I'll use Blackwall, who actually is invulnerable 25% of the time and has taunts.

i like soras (Riftmage).
The stonefist is strange and never goes on full cooldown, its up very often. You have 2 knockdowns with the first 2 abilities in the tree and you spam weakness on everyone AND you regain mana, so you dont need the bugged frost tree passive. I dont have the last ability yet, but i suspect some ownage is incoming. OMW to get the fire tree passive that negates a cooldown on crit, together win free mana this should be fun.
Blackwall can tank anything anyways, even Cassandra can tank enough with timed blocks.
Havent tried necro yet, will leave for 2nd playtrough.
I havent

It seems like Dorian might have been the first character I could have romanced. And I had not used a single heart dialog option with him...
Working on Cassandra but thats taking actual effort, need to go buy candles and shit.

Lol, Blackwall was the easiest for me... So much (early) stuff where he greatly approves. Yes, I'm still playing the game where I'm being recognized as a female char while actually being a male char.
How are your group setups? I'm a bow Rogue and almost always have Blackwall since he's a godly tank. Then I'm using Solas as mostly as a spirit/rift mage hybrid. The third one is pretty random, but usually Vivienne/Sera/Varrick. The game is so crazily huge. If you don't focus on the mainstory and do all kind of sidestories, you take a loong while to finish things... I'm starting to believe I'll need 100 hours to do everything on my first playthrough.

Is there a key to access the codex on pc without having to press esc and then selecting it? It's pretty annoying.
