Unless you mean some challenger team I don't really see many opportunities right now, and as much as I like him I agree with the general consensus that he didn't do well this split. I'd like to believe his recent attitude change will help with performance, but I don't see any established team changing their supp for him :p I mean, next season. A lot of players will retire/step down next year + it's not hard to reach team if you're guy who just advanced to Worlds and Gambit with Alex and nice attitude were easily top-3 EU next split. And, let's be honest, EU level of play is incredibly low right now, so saying that he wasn't doing well - i guess, we can throw 30 more names who could do better than they did. Inb4, Voyboy switches back to top, Alex goes to play midlane for Curse, Curse confirmed as CLG and Gambit farm-club.

Most people probably see it as a one year time span from now on until the next relevant split starts, which leads to even crazier things than last off season I think amongst the people who are outside of LCS. And for LCS teams the important part starts now.

Well, I don't really agree that GMB had chance for Worlds, they were just looking worse and worse as time passed (apart from one good performance at IEM Cologne). Also, if general level of play is low then that doesn't really help Edward's case :p

It seemed like he could have dealt with the travel if he was enjoying playing in the team. Now he'll at least have half a year or longer with his family so it's not like there's a rush to make a decision if they make it. Who knows maybe his wife will tell him to go play next year and stop being home all the time lol

I think that was part of the problem with Gambit last split - I'd be astonished if the rest of the team didn't tell Genja he was a dumb-ass for building bf sword, cutlass, stinger every game with no last whisper, but he clearly thought he knew better and wouldn't listen to his teammates.

Not only that but also perma freezing lane like its s2 and never rotate. 4v5 not fun. On the other side of the spectrum Mr 1000 420Blazeit videos 2 much in love with proxy singed playstyle. 3v5 not fun.

Team coast will not be disbanding, with nintendude leaving, daydreamin apparently retiring and shipturspartan getting an actual team. Get your bodies ready to see the protect the wizfujin squad.

Get your bodies ready to see the protect the wizfujin squad. Doesn't it just mean the ownership group is recruiting and contracting a new squad? Cst Alex Ich and Forg1ven incoming But on a more serious note, I could see them using their Zion/Shiphtur contract buyout money to get the remnants of XDG and C9T and see what they can make of that group.

Darker confirms that there were multitude of problems in Gambit for at least a year now, with Genja in particular still using his S1/S2 status to be above criticism and not listen to anyone. I think top3 in Summer is unlikely even with a midlaner as good as Alex, but I hope there's still a future for him, Edward and Diamond - perhaps on separate teams.

That would be the point where you bench him and tell him to get with the team or get off. Its why teams need a coach who is able to be harsher then teammates might be.

And all of them since swapping Dyrus for TRM (can't speak to before this since I didn't follow League at the time) have been substantial improvements as well.
