Bulgaria is set to make a monumental entry into the esports world with Bellum Gens Elite Stara Zagora 2024, the country’s first-ever global Major Tier esports tournament. Organized by the Bulgarian StarCraft League and Bellum Gens, this event promises to be a true spectacle for the international esports community.
This StarCraft II epic will take place in the ancient city of Stara Zagora, at the heart of the Thracian Valley, and aims to become a must-attend event for esports fans. We invite every fan of raw esports thrill to join us LIVE this September in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, where 16 of the best players in the world will battle for StarCraft II glory.

Discipline: StarCraft II
For over 26 years, our beloved StarCraft has been a cornerstone of the esports industry, and now it will take center stage in Bulgaria. Bellum Gens Elite Stara Zagora 2024 will feature 16 top-tier players, with 8 invited and 8 more qualifying through open competitions.
The Stars Align
Bellum Gens Elite Stara Zagora 2024 will showcase some of the biggest names in the StarCraft II world, including:
- Riccardo “Reynor” Romiti: 2021 World Champion and Gamers8 2023 Champion. Representing Red Bull and team BASILISK, Reynor is a Zerg player and a global superstar.
- Li “Oliveira” Peinan: 2023 World Champion from China, the first Chinese player to win the world title in the renowned history of StarCraft esports.
- Clément “Clem” Desplanches: The top young European Terran talent, a six-time European Champion, representing Team Liquid.
- Kim “Stats” Dae Yeob: A South Korean Protoss legend known as "The Shield of Aiur," representing Twisted Minds.
- Kang “Solar” Min Soo: Beloved by fans and a top Zerg player from South Korea, playing for Team Vitality.
- Tobias “ShoWTimE” Sieber: A veteran Protoss player from Germany known as "Die Mauer" (The Wall) for his defensive playstyle.
- Diego “Kelazhur” Schwimer: A South American Terran maestro from Brazil, currently ranked 3rd in the Americas.
- Piotr “Spirit” Walukiewicz: A rising Terran star from Poland, representing Natus Vincere (Na’Vi).
These elite players will be joined by 8 more who will qualify through open qualifiers.

Open to players worldwide, determining 7 competitors.
Bulgarian Qualifier: Sunday, Jul 21 1:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)
Open to Bulgarian players, determining 1 competitor.

The Main Event
From September 4-8, 2024, the main event will unfold at the breathtaking Summer Theatre in Stara Zagora, nestled in the heart of the ancient Thracian Valley. This open-air venue invites visitors to immerse themselves in the enchanting ambiance of these historic plains, where the fusion of tradition and modernity creates a captivating and artistic spectacle.
September 4: Media Day, where fans can meet their favorite players and collect their event wristbands.
September 5-8: Competition days, culminating in the crowning of the champion on September 8.
