But I didn't want to do it until I knew my action got off N1 XD My initial intention was to vig kush, though I was going to filter dive all of the alternatives today before deciding. GG though. I'm not sure how making nothing but legitimate arguments against scum the entire game didn't confirm me as town. I mean, yeah, my filter is small. It's always small. But literally every single post D1 is about scum Cora. Edit: but I wasn't too concerned because I was going to be confirmed by the daypost anyway (most likely). People have a tendency to not read what I write even when I'm modconfirmed town, though

We could have been singing Kumbayaa and lynching maffyaa.. bugs this game kinda had what I call Palmaritis Where you talk far too much about how the game "should" be played and don't take into account human emotion/reactions. As an example, after the flip - yamato was really happy and was going around calling himself almost confirmed town, saying the wagon can't have been scum/scum, basically strutting about in a pretty cute way. bugs called this "very scummy". Well... maybe in isolation, because maybe a mafia could do that. But generally speaking, yamato's tone and confidence in his own townieness strongly indicated that he was town. What yamato was doing was not 'very scummy' at all, in fact it was a reasonably strong town indicator. Towns are generally more likely to be confident in their own towniness. Even more than this, townies are more likely to think they look townier than they are for the wrong reasons (Toad is the perfect example of someone who always does this) Same with what bugs said about gumshoe, bugs calling him "scummy as shit" for coming in last minute, doing some silly long reads post and not voting Cora. See yeah, on the surface that's pretty bad. But actually gumshoe was so blitheringly, moronically (no offence) unaware of what was going on, what gumshoe did was more likely to come from town. What mafia player, when he sees his scumbuddy claim scum, doesn't think his scumbuddy is claiming scum? That's a really unnatural mindset. Far more likely to be dopey townie.

Yeah, exactly +1000 on gumshoe read. yamato has a towntell: On January 07 2014 23:48 raynpelikoneet wrote: From this post: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=439654¤tpage=12#236 ..onwards in his filter. There is something happening, i just dunno what that something is, but i don't really care, because it's enough for me. He basically can't do that as mafia. Or maybe he can, after this game..

I think I remember seeing Cora make a post about yamato and when iamp (?) asked him why he wrote what he did, he talked about how he didn't want to be suspicious. These were all good reasons to lynch Cora. It's why I posted this in obsQT: marvellosity was signed in when posted 01-08-2014 04:45 PM ET (US) WoS keeps saying dumb things "who would you rather have at lylo - kush or cora" is a terrible way to be deciding the lynch at this point Pushing policy lynch of kush. Don't feel bad about it.

I got an 'unofficial warning' from Slam during the game for what essentially amounted to absolutely nothing. Aqua did you find anything of what I posted close to crossing the line?

However, I don't think it progressed to the stage where a banlist warning is warranted.

It didn't really cross any lines. Expressing frustration/being annoyed is a pretty natural thing in mafia

I did that for 2 reasons: 1, telling someone "don't sign up" Look at the time it is taking to fill LXIV. No I am not a fan of telling even the most lazy antagonistic fool to get out of here entirely, that just barely crosses the first possible line but it does. 2, knowing full well stuff was not that serious but might get there, wanted to nip stuff in the bud. I hate ban list warnings/drama. The WoS stuff was, frankly, a mistake XD I attributed saying something like "yeah you really shouldn't {sign up}", which... ...he never said Even if he had that is even closer to the line. Since the whole point was to avoid ban list stuff, I would actually have argued with aqua if he didn't already essentially state the same sentiment.

I was preparing a post to say that tomorrow we should kill between Artanis, fuba and gumshoe tomorrow. I was going to wait till deadline and post that anyone who attacked gumshoe in the meanwhile is probably scum because he did several things throughout the night that were really townie. The number of players who decided to do fuck all was way too high. I will reiterate that I am not going to be playing for a while as long as players like kush get a free pass. That's only possible when there are other people in the game who are also lurking/doing nothing. iamp, rayn, thrawn, and WoS all looked to me townie enough to discuss things with (even if rayn would often say things that are really weird) Yamato, on the other hand, was the one super confusing factor. He did fuck all even though he was around the entire time. Obviously now it's probably true that he actually was demoralized but if this is a thing that has been happening in recent games to you then by all means take a break.
