So what you can do in the game right now;
-Move forward/backwards/left/right (amazing, i know) with WASD or arrows
-rotate view (only on horizontal axis) using mouse
-orient gravity to new direction using the space bar when the player is pressed right against a wall (this was originally a jump, but i decided to get rid of the jump for now)
-pick up points
-points spawn 3 enemy balls (skinned as good ol' Nick) that move unintelligently
-lose when you hit said enemy balls
YOU ARE TRAPPED WITHIN BEIBUR
dont judge my choice of wall material it was in my downloads folder and i just picked it randomly for a placeholder
don't judge why i had that picture in my downloads either
damnit
Current glaring problems that will probably be fixed first;
-I did the enemy ball spawning very sloppily and they only move in 1 direction on any wall (and one of the spawnings isn't even connected to a wall... although it kinda looks interesting like that)
-changing of gravity can be used when facing spheres (both points and enemies)
-3rd person view of camera isn't quite satisfactory to me, I'd like to make it more angled from above
-some balls randomly change direction as if colliding with invisible wall - no idea what's causing this one
-obviously looks boring
Weapons are planned to be added a little bit later on that will destroy enemy balls. These weapons will cost points to use. If I figure out a simple pause menu button/upgrade system that I can understand, I probably will also give the ability to upgrade stats (move speed, distance from wall at which you can change gravity, etc) using points. Future core gameplay will probably revolve around the balance of getting points and using them wisely to eliminate the ever spawning enemy spheres... the balancing of costs/points gained seems a little bit hard though.
Well I guess it's at least some more visible progress. If anyone's interested in trying out what i've got so far to actually see what I mean, you can download it at the link below <3. I'd ask for any advice or something on it, but quite frankly it's still so early in it's creation that there's too much to critique on. That's all I've got for today, and I hope you fine folks have a great day!
