This is really more of a long rant, than an introspective look (is that the right word? Sometimes I just interject words that sound cool, and hope for the best), on the deteriorating lack of courage found in the average guy.
Seriously. What the fuck guys. Why is it so hard for you to talk to random girls?
I went out for some beers with some co-workers and while we were at the pub, a couple of the guys were checking out this girl. But when I suggested that they go talk to her they just laughed.
"Ya some random guy walks up and starts talking to her. Ha ha that'll really work."
"She probably has a boyfriend already."
" I just came from work, I'm not looking that great..."
WHY? Why do you guys beat yourselves up like crazy? I just don't understand the logic. And what really pisses me off, is when these same guys talk about how much it sucks to be single, and they haven't met a decent girl yet.
First of all, know you're awesome as fuck. When you're talking to a girl, you're doing her a favor. If she's lucky you might ask her out. That's the mentality you have to approach girls with. And if you can wrap your head around it, then it becomes true.
That doesn't mean being a complete cocky asshole, but it means holding yourself with confidence, and being fully aware that you have a lot to offer any girl. You do. Everyone of us does.
I'm not this amazing babe magnet. I've been rejected hundreds of times. But it doesn't matter. Because for some reason, some of the most insanely attractive girls have found me equally attractive. So if this girl says no, it's not a big deal because the next one might say yes.
Oh and BTW, I ended up talking to that girl. Nice, but turns out she's pretty dumb too. I can't handle that much dumb. Or to put it diplomatically, I wasn't interested in the things she found interesting.
And this was the start of the conversation I had with her. I walked up to her and...
"Hey, you wouldn't know it to look at me, but I can run really fast"
"Um...Okay.."
"Damn, that was a line from Seinfeld, I was banking on you knowing where it's from."
"I love Seinfeld! But I don't recognize that line, did Kramer say it? He's my favorite..."
And the conversation led on from there.
