The "tuck" rule! How can you forget the infamous snow bowl? :p I love Brady btw, but still find that rule hilarious.

Back in 2000 I remember they went 5 games and 20+ quarters without scoring a single touchdown (won 2 of those games btw) and then went to Super Bowl on a flucky 97 yd pass to a TE and a game against Titans that basically caused a kicker to be fired.

I would say both teams had a wacky ride this season. 49ers starting QB gets concussed, backup comes in, and the starter gets benched. They play in a tie game, they get torched in week 16, lose the 2 seed, then have it handed back to them. Then the offense comes alive despite the defense not being quite so spectacular. Oh, and brothers are coaching against each other in the Super Bowl.

Then this year, the 49ers have an identical defense, all 11 starters are the same as last year, all the backups are the same as last year, except for one season ending injury to our backup OLB. On Offense, obviously the game is different with Kaepernick in, instead of Smith. People are quick to praise the Ravens for beating Denver and NE on the road, but keep in mind the 49ers have beaten a Chicago team on the road, when Chicago was peaking and top 3 in everyones power rankings, followed by trouncing New England also on the road, when NE was top 3 in everyone's power rankings. We've been Green Bay twice, on the road and at home, and have already won a game in the Superdome, the site of the Superbowl, this season.

They're one terrible Asante Samuels dropped interception away from another one, plus getting this far is so consistently is a pretty big achievement in itself. Also, bringing up the Moynahan thing is pretty stupid as well. It's not like he's an estranged father. She got pregnant the same time they broke up, and he's still an active dad. It's mostly like Suggs said, they kinda deserve to be arrogant and other fans are jealous. Every other fan in this thread would instantly trade their franchise for getting to the playoffs in 10 of 12 years (and being 9-7 and 11-5 the years they missed,) with 3 Super Bowls and a 17-7 playoff record in that stretch. And if their team had to cheat a little bit to do it, they wouldn't care either. EDIT: And I say this is a lowly Lions fan that would trade the Lions and Tigers for the Pats. I don't think you could get any more wrong than you are. I, and most other people, hate the Pats because of all the shit they're allowed to get away with for the simple fact that their name alone makes the NFL money. Name another team that has been allowed to pull a snow blower out to clear an area to kick a field goal. Name another team that cried enough to have a rule created to overturn an obvious fumble to allow you to go on to have a chance to kick aforementioned field goal off of a freshly plowed area. Name another team that wins 3 superbowls by only 3 points each and then dumps every player from their team besides their "allstar" QB. Name another team whos entire offensive gameplan is quickslants, 7 yard buttons and screen passes. Name another team that talks as much shit as the Pats when the cameras are off but act like gods grace with it on them, then show their colors when they lose. Name another team whos QB is allowed to badmouth a ref and spike the ball at his feet because hes upset with a call. And if youre willing to dump two historic franchises to bandwagon the Pats because they play in a weak conference and get a free ride to the playoffs every year just to feel good about yourself, then you're exactly like every other pats fan ive ever met. And as soon as Brady retires in the next 3-5 years i wont waste any time trying to find you or all the other Pats "fans" that mysteriously disappear as fast as they appeared.

Think of the annoying scenarios for the coaches during the game with that shit in the back of their minds. Akers underwent double hernia surgery near his lower abs in the off season and pain flared up during the bears game and it's been like that for the rest of the season. Although it may not really be much of a reason he's been pretty solid under 40 but just horrible past 40 all year long, although now it's more like if it's past 40 don't bother.
