Example of this would be Thorzain. They clearly want him to have exposure and gain experience, but TL`s got few way better players than him and they don`t get a chance to play and get experience like T-funk. Yea and fielding Puma so many times was almost ridiculous.
Anyone with me ?
Cmon man just because EG might be paying a lot of money that doesn't mean their players will get preferential treatment. The team, EG-TL is doing what it thinks is best to win.

Why play another player that have never been playing on that map? Yes, Thorzain is the only EG-TL player to have been playing on that man officially.

Also, rains weakest mu is versus zerg and youd want to save taeja for ace.
I know he's good ZvZ but why didn't they play him on Arkanoid then? Saving Taeja for ace is good and all but not if it means pushing out Stephano and HerO who both imo have a better shot at taking down Rain than Thorzain & Revival.

What we do know is that Thorzain is the only guy to have played on the map

How rare, a Zenio fan.

SKT1 just isn't a team to be playing your not best lineup against, keep getting him lineup showings against Khan/T8/CJ/ or whatever, but don't throw away the 2-1 lead(which means a ton with Rain still to play) on the idea that he won a game on that map vs a complete unknown Kespa zerg who made several misplays. =[ I think EGTL is still on regular PL mindset, at least with putting out Thorzain. He's EGTL's designated Arkanoid player, so I can understand why he was put out initially. And it was a TvT against Classic that he won his game.
Oh ya he lost the ZvT I was thinking of actually... so even worse(although now that I'm really remembering it, the Z didn't really misplay anything, just took advantage of Thorzain's super greedy build and his blunder of destroying his own rocks before he could defend properly vs ling run-bye).
Also ZvZ is Revival's worst matchup, so unless they have been prepping him as a zerg sniper as part of training up said weakness, then this pick doesn't make much sense either. Teaja and Hero are both capable of killing a zerg and forcing Rain into the booth, giving EGTL 2 shots at him with their two best players.
It really does feel that simple, and reminds me how I always feel like there's some behind the scenes team stuff going on at all times when I watch proleague with how little sense lineups make sometimes(not just this game with EGTL).

Fielding a player that is one of the worst players in PL is not doing your best to win. Hero, Taeja, + Revival and they replace one with THorzain?
