To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules; - Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

Which annoys me to hell and back since I thought there were too many of them there already last year. Hongdae is the hotspot.. because it is. It's a university area (Hongik and Sinchon) as well as being a very artistic/"creative" area which attracts a lot of young people, obviously (but I'm sure you knew that!) . The only foreigners there are mostly exchange students at the nearby universities and there's no where near the same amount of foreigners as in Itaewon, and foreigners also go to Itaewon for other things... oh, and Hongdae is by no means a tourist area so you don't have to deal with tourist traps and all that jazz (which mostly only applies to Japanese tourists in Seoul anyway..). Except Hongdae has always been like you said. Bar from recently, where it has changed, with a hell of a lot more foreigners (both Koreans and foreigners agree on this). Itaewon is losing a lot of its "Foreigner" status since people are going to other places. Also http://www.svtplay.se/kobraFor anyone that might not have seen it (it is mostly in Swedish but a lot of the interviews are in English). So you've been in SK a year and now like to complain online about foreigners ruining your favourite spots? I hope for your sake you are at least part kimchiman so it's just casual racism, otherwise this may indicate some level of mental deficiency.

I am hoping you are not suffering from a mental deficiency.
I've never been a big fan of Hongdae. I am not part Kimchi or any type of Asian. But I do have a profound hatred for the stereotypical foreigner from Itaewon (which now hangs around in Hongdae).
And I don't like to complain online about it. Correcting people is a whole other thing.

There's nothing wrong with Hongdae unless you're an elitist hipster who loves to feel like they're the only foreigner in Korea.

I said Hongdae is a hot spot right now (this is verbatim advice from multiple genuine South Koreans) and you went off on a rant about how it's been invaded by foreigners, as both the reason for it's proposed popularity and a reason why you hate it.
As Scarecrow and the people I know seem to point out, Hongdae is fine. You are the one with the problem, Galtakar. Take your grievances with foreigners in Seoul to your blog.

Yonghwa so kind to sing me this song for my birthday.
Pretty jealous of Yuri's dog...
|
While this live perf from Secret was better than the previous one the choreo and number of backup dancers still feels weird for the song they're singing IMO. I still really like the song though.
|
It's very busy, isn't it? At the very least having them wear something that stands out from the mass of bodies on stage instead of everyone in black would be worth considering. Echo on liking the song.

It's gonna air Dec. 13 16:00 kst. I skimmed through previous episodes and I think an episode runs at least 20 minutes, and I haven't seen any other idol groups as guests(might be the first time ogn bothered to pay for one lol). You've just stepped into my territory now and have underestimated Huh Joon's reach. Off the top of my head, WE, Crispi Crunch, Chi Chi, Coo-G from Aprilkiss (clearly favored by OGN given they were called for two performance jobs), Tei, multitude of episodes with Defconn, Six6bomb, a large amount of episodes featuring Seong Eun (AV performer turned idol/personality), Piggy Dolls, Buster Busker. - Leaving Brave Girls off the list left me feeling quite twitchy. Also M.I.B and Miss S's Jace featuring alongside one or two of Defconn's episodes.

Edit: I'll be careful not to step into your territory next time. It's yours. I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive a noob like me.

I found the pink and white outfit a bit more distracting than the auto-tune of it.
Yeosob's performance is pretty good, those background dancers of his has awesome outfits.
R.I.P. Vorgrim.

dang, I kinda liked Vogrim.
I'm gonna spoil this cause I don't know if it's been posted here before (or super relevant), but I thought it was fucking awesome so:
+ Show Spoiler +
I wonder if Brittney Spears, Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc. are legitimate musicians like that. (not that it matters, but still. hot damn!)
