Hongdae is the hotspot.. because it is. It's a university area (Hongik and Sinchon) as well as being a very artistic/"creative" area which attracts a lot of young people, obviously (but I'm sure you knew that!) . The only foreigners there are mostly exchange students at the nearby universities and there's no where near the same amount of foreigners as in Itaewon, and foreigners also go to Itaewon for other things... oh, and Hongdae is by no means a tourist area so you don't have to deal with tourist traps and all that jazz (which mostly only applies to Japanese tourists in Seoul anyway..).
Gangnam is alright - has some good clubs, but it's very expensive!
Just wanted to put it out there. I don't have any K-Pop to contribute with as of now
Sweet sorrow was amazing, the range they have as a group is outstanding, I can't believe they didn't win this episode with that cover. Not the biggest deal though since B1A4 won and it was pretty well deserved.
that B1A4 guy is really good, caught my eye when he did Forgotten Season a couple weeks ago. vod:
Ok, so we just performed Dancing Queen today. I was planning to upload a video of that and submit it to the Dancing Queen dance cover contest, but our perf was so bad(I did horrible, a disgrace to this fandom) I decided not to join the contest anymore.
I really hate letting go of this opportunity to have a shot at those prizes, especially since the "most views" category is ezpz and basically insta win, so I thought what about just helping a fellow KMDer win the most views? Basically I just need a video of someone(as much as possible a vocal fan, someone I can recognize ez) doing it, and we will do the magic. You don't have to be really good, since we're only aiming at the "most views." You can be holy shit bad and still win it. Though, it would be better if you're actually good enough to have a shot at the better prizes. There's also the "Honorable Mention (10) : Members Signature," and there are only 5 entries so far.
I hope someone's willing to sell their pride for a signed CD :p. It's your chance to represent KMD.
When I went to Seoul for a couple of days last summer, we stayed in Hongdae. CRAZY clubbing there, street is pretty busy every night with drunk early-20 somethings even at 2am on a Monday. I remember seeing this one multi-story karaoke joint where the side of the building is glass so everybody walking along the street can see the pretty hot drunk girls dancing inside. Tons of drunk girls walking around the streets, sometimes with a big sugar daddy accompanying. Lots of fashionable tall guys (for asians) prowling around. The street vendor kebabs/mystery meat stands are good, made perfectly for late night snacks. Okay place overall... only complaint is that it's dirty as fuck there at night and they just stack their garbage in piles on the side walks =| (dumpsters are the tools of white devils?)
Gangnam to me seemed to be just a cleaner version of Hongdae with better girls. I thinks its worth going there at least to be be a massive faggot and do the Gangnam Style pose in front of a Gangnam sign there :3

Paging HaXX who won the school dance contest in 9th grade along with a girl friend of his.
I dance sometimes, but Dancing Queen is kind of ridiculous for a dude, and I usualy try cool ones, sorry. Plus it doesn't seem easy, I'd even say it looks f*cking hard.
Anyways, I prepared a few old Sojin selcas today, enjoy.

Some of you might have caught OGN playing Dancing Queen during Proleague. OGN knows they exist probably because Crayon Pop had a guesting on an OGN program called "켠김에 왕까지" they recorded on Nov. 23.
Yeah, T8 vs Khan game 6 isn't even over yet right now.
It's gonna air Dec. 13 16:00 kst. I skimmed through previous episodes and I think an episode runs at least 20 minutes, and I haven't seen any other idol groups as guests(might be the first time ogn bothered to pay for one lol).

Except Hongdae has always been like you said. Bar from recently, where it has changed, with a hell of a lot more foreigners (both Koreans and foreigners agree on this). Itaewon is losing a lot of its "Foreigner" status since people are going to other places.
