Well I'm wondering about how people evaluate the quality of my posting.

Well ain't YOU the special one.

This. For one thing, you don't write your posts
In a format
Like this.
Plus, you're not nearly as assuming or bashing as zalz, from what I can gather about you. Your views may be extreme, but your communication of them is still within the limits of what is respectful on TL, apparently.
Edit:
ProfessorPolitics was just banned by Nyovne. That account was created on 2012-12-01 05:17:37 and had 1 posts. Reason: Back under the bridge with you, here have a goat. + Show Spoiler +
"It is the will of Zedruu, that you should have... this ban. Yes, for your inflammatory and insufferable remarks. May this banishment provide you the temporal recess necessary to reflect on your online conduct. With this exile, may you discover peace, first within yourself, then secondly with others. We will be over here, gaining a life...." :-D
For those who don't play Magic: + Show Spoiler +http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=236499 Based off of the "It is the will of Zedruu..." meme. Zedruu is technically not a goat but a minotaur. But that doesn't stop us from calling her a goat anyways.

Do you think you'll be missed dearly, like JohnChoi? Or scoffed at unceremoniously and looked down upon with contempt, like NeMeSiS3 and zalz, lol? The secret truth is, it isn't possible to perm someone from any site if they have the least bit of knowledge about computers. So I will never be truly banned But maybe I shouldn't tempt the Gods with this talk...
Anyway, if this account got banned there would probably be a few people who would be quite pleased. But mostly I imagine I would get a lot of "X but Y" sort of comments. As in "he was generally a decent poster but sometimes he would Y so he had to be banned." And I would vehemently disagree with that assessment. Because in my mind it is far worse to be insulting and condescending to other posters than to be wrong on an issue or to post in a strongly opinionated way. I may be opinionated and make unpopular arguments but I'm always respectful to people. For example, even though sam!zdat is into Marxism and I disagree with Marxism, I still like and respect him as a poster because he's generally respectful to others. My 2cents.

I'm sure there would be at least a little grave-dancing in my case, with a handful of supportive posts mixed in. Though, sadly for the grave-dancers, they may have to wait a while as I've never received so much as a warning. It would probably have to be self-inflicted at this point.

Herodotus (or Solon or Tom Waits) takes on a double meaning in this case. Posting seems to make the type of people who end up getting permed very angry. I bet they're much happier when it's all over.

Zalz sounds to me like what the Republican party would sound like if they weren't dominated by Bible-thumpers from the Deep South. Knowing people from the OC/San Diego, I have actually met a few Republicans who can be considered social moderates or even liberals. They don't hate religion like zalz does, but they are not particularly religious, either. They are still conservatives through and through when it comes to economics, policing and foreign policy.

I think here they were exacerbated by one of the players agreeing with their complaints.
+ Show Spoiler +Ryung went 'IMBA IMBA IMBA IMBA' in chat shortly before he typed out in game 5.

Zalz sounded like the old fashioned British imperialist and the white supremacist (without the bigotry) from the beginning of The Great Gatsby. What makes me wonder is if he was an ex-Trotskyist like Irving Kristol and Christopher Hitchens.
