Unfortunately could´nt watch the finals; but although I rooted for Grubby, Sting making it out of the group Stage by tiebreaker and then winning every series in the ace mtach 3-2 defintily shows champion mentality here, so congratz to him.

How do I watch this games?? Grubby vs Slivko

Wow IEM was today hu? This is the first tournament that I've completely missed and never even knew it was happening. So much starcraft being played these days it's ridiculous.

man, look at Sting's run. 3-2's across the board. Everyone had the ability to stop him but no one could close it out. Gratz to Sting and Western Wolves though! a great pickup by them, and sting is so gosh darn cute ^~^ like MKP or HerO :D EDIT: Lol even his group match score was 3-2 xD

Sting had the hardest bracket by far I think and won it in the deciding match so many itmes. Such clutch play, hopefully the start of a bright future for Sting !

Grubby won his games in a risky fashion, almost losing them TT... Had a feeling he was going to lose, despite wanting him to win....
|
Grubby did awesomely, 2nd place !
Vortix also beat a lot of good players, good showing.
|
Should've been bo7 for finals. Maybe grubby could have won. :/

Grrr, Grubby is so manner and has been in touch with fans so much more than Sting, feel like he deserves a big tourney win and a career pickmeup..
I don't mean to take away from Sting's victory needlessly, but it feels so Jjakji-esque (i.e. fade into obscurity after a huge win/taking a major win from someone who IMHO would utilize the win way more productively *cough* Leenocktopus)

Had a great time in Singapore! Cannot wait for the next IEM This one was so amazing.

For me, this IEM was such a pleasure to watch. The stream was perfect, perhaps the best I´ve ever experienced from a live tournament. Artosis and Kaelaris was a fantastic duo but the other casters did great as well. The production was rock solid though we had too much downtime for my taste and lacked game sounds the first 2 days.
Last but not least the games were AMAZING. Almost every series from the RO8 to the finals had 5 games and we saw some brilliant tactics and comebacks. Sting was really entertaining with his oldschool super aggresive marine play and Grubby toyed with our emotions in every game, barely losing and then coming back with superb multitasking.
Imo this IEM was a better tourney than Dreamhack and if you didnt watch it I feel sorry for you. Go watch the VOD´s.

Poor poor grubby, I wish he hadn't proxy gated that last game. Tournament was still a blast to watch though.

shame, wished he would win

Is there VOD for the 8 player FFA match?

I think it takes some guts to do something like he did. This is result oriented. If Sting went for 1rax expo or cc first Grubby would have win. It was a cool idea and it takes a lot to do something like this in ace match for a trophy.

What does it mean to "utilize the win way more productively"? Jjaki himself thought he would be invited to more events by winning a GSL, and they just never came to him. It's more or less up to other people whether or not he would've gotten big, I mean, he played some of the best games in SC2 history during his peak.. Is it really his fault?
