The whole thing is really cool, but it seems like there isn't much danger to it, especially for a healthy and experienced professional like Baumgartner.

But when the first kind of these jumps went ahead, there was no fucking clue what was going to happen. Also anything goes wrong with his suit, and he's kind of fucked. So yeah, kind of more dangerous than your average sky dive. Also having the company behind him doesn't mean he is technically safe. I don't think Pastrana was completely safe when he did this lol.

I wonder tough if he or Red Bull came up with the idea of an stratosphere high jump...

Once that point hits, it'll just be a long trip of shit ton of friction, but no falling sensation (i think) lol. Would be a cool thing to try i think haha. Might have to stay up for this one. Terminal velocity, and yea he will reach it. People reach that from sky diving, not sure how much extra weight is strapped to him in his suit and whatnot.

What's the Terminal velocity for a human on earth? I've heard that it is calculated that he will reach about 1100 km/h (680 mp/h), is that possible?

I understand that it's from a higher altitude and he will reach a higher speed, but that's only because he's spending a bit more time without any serious air friction. So... why are they doing this again? Other than the obvious "because they can" answer. It's a marketing campain, don't read too much into what they say about it. Noone wanted to pay for it again untill now, that's all

Yes from what I have read, due to the small pressure leak, the blood in his hand was basically boiling. Also if I remember correctly, the guy said the reason he regained use of his hand was because it had swollen up to the point where his hand completely filled the glove and it gave him back some use.
