EPTI haven't ever thought about blogging on here before but I've had a pretty terrible weekend and I guess I need to vent, and also maybe get some advice.
So anyway there I was, Friday night, work over I'm back at my flat and my Girlfriend has just gone to sleep. I go to my computer load up TL, "Oh awesome IdrA is streaming", time to kick back and roll a joint, good times ahead.
So then I get an error on Spotify saying my soundcard isn't being recognised, usually I have to restart my PC to fix this but I think ill just try putting it in sleep and waking it up. Did this and then my PC refused to boot, all fans spinning etc but no video output on monitor. Shiiiiiit.
At this point Ive already rolled my joint and its just sitting there waiting to be smoked, but instead I disconnect all the shit from my PC and open it up. When it boots my gfx card fan isnt spinning.
I spend the next 2 hours, disconnecting things and rechecking everything to no avail, before finally deciding to get my 10 year old laptop, hook it up to my monitor and external HDD and watch some films while i smoke.
Ended up watching "Looking For Eric" I'd seen it before but I'd forgotten how good it was, really funny film. Guess it helps that Cantona kind of reminds me of my dad.
The next day my friend comes over at around 3, we go to the pub by mine for some drinks, and go back to the flat about 9 and order Pizza, he proceeds to throw up everywhere and pass out by half 10. My GF was away staying with her parents so I spent the rest of the night watching south park and getting stoned, sounds ok but i find myself feeling really lost without my PC and the internet.
Sunday, I went out and bought the only GFX card in the stores near me for £25 to make sure its my GPU thats dead, turns out it isnt and I cant get it to boot with the new GPU either. After literally hours fucking with it I manage to find out it will boot up if I disconnect enough of the components, and then fails again as I add them back in. At this point im thinking it must be the power supply thats dying.
So I ordered a cheap one for like £40, 900W, only to realise today that its really shit and probably wont power my GTX295, even if it will connect to it. SO i try to cancel the order and the website is fucked and I cant, I sent them like 10 emails trying to get hem to cancel it, whihc of course are ignored. SO now its just been dispatched and im going to have to pay to have it returned......FML
and then to top that all off, my friend I lioved with for 3 years was on a TV show in England called "Million Pound Drop" and just won £300,000. The most anyone has ever won.
Life Sucks Today.
I was kind of planning on this being funny, but it turned out to be alist of shitty things that happened to me. Oh well. At least Ive got nothing to do in work all day and can read TL!
