Your Site Wants You!
Posted by: Schwitzer
StarCraft.org is getting back on track, and we need dedicated individuals to help us do that. If you've ever wanted to become part of team that actively maintains a website that receives tens of thousands of unique visitors per day, then this opportunity is for you!
Positions Available
* Fan Art Submission Moderators
People with an eye for art and an appreciation for graphical flare are required to filter through submitted comics, sketches, wallpapers, 2-D and 3-D renders to ensure that only quality submissions are accepted.
* Fan Fiction Submission Moderators
If you enjoy losing yourself in the plots of novels written by fellow StarCraft fans, then why not consider a position as a Fan-Fiction moderator? You'll get the read fresh stories before the rest of the community, and will be in a position to ensure that only well-written stories get published on our site.
Due to the high-maintenance nature of fan fiction, we will likely be seeking several staff members for this role .
* Maps Submission Moderators
We require several individuals to take it upon themselves to download and test submitted maps to ensure that they deserve a spot in our collection. While we obviously do not expect individuals to completely finish every map submitted, you will need to evaluate a map enough to know whether it is a decent submission.
* Strategy Submission Moderators
As StarCraft has been around for many years, the strategies have pretty much been discovered and rediscovered. Even so, sometimes an excellent guide or surprising new strategy is submitted, and we need individuals who are experienced with the dynamics of the game to identify and approve these submissions.
* News Posters
Individuals who can keep the rest of the community informed of any recent events happening in relation to StarCraft. Quick and professional coverage of sequels, patches, events etc. is essential for this role. Additionally, News Posters should be on the lookout for random amusing StarCraft-related works that appear on the Internet. An understanding of basic HTML is desireable.
How to Apply
Simply send a message to Schwitzer or AJ expressing your interest. To increase your chances of selection, we recommend that you include:
* Which position(s) in particular you are interested in
* Any experience you have that will be beneficial if chosen
* Links to your own submissions to validate your application
* Any other reasons why we should consider you
Don't be shy, either. If you don't apply we can't consider you, so please don't fall for the, "They'll never pick me," mentality. We will consider all applications based on their own merits.
