Awesome. I'm going to make a guide on how to commit a perfect murder, split into parts. Stay tuned

Then he got bored of all the crap and decided to "reform". Makes it so much cooler. + Show Spoiler + I hope to god that he isn't some kind of troll.

And nah, he just likes to write short stories Maybe he could write a "one last job" reflection, when he decided to mend his ways after finding his girl haha.

The main thing to point out is the myth that public defenders suck. It's completely not true and actually if you are charged with a serious crime you probably want a public defender over your regular family attorney any day because of the experience of the PD and the relationship that he has with the prosecution. Look at the example the OP gives: the guy that murdered someone just got off with 5 years. That's pretty good if you ask me. (This only applies to first time offenders since if the prosecutor knows that he can get a murder conviction on a repeat offender he'll go for the throat). Granted if you are wrongly accused then you are going to want someone who is going to fight for you tooth and nail and not just plead you out to get you off their back but if you're wrongly accused and sitting in prison awaiting a trial you are pretty much screwed anyways. To the OP: This was a very fun read. Thank you very much

Watched a childhood friend get shot in a drive-by my senior year of HS and then saw his murderers walk out of prison before I finished college.
