So I just got an email from EA Sports FIFA which links to it's Facebook profile:
The article belows just talks about dribbling, and mostly defending but nothing about say updated crowd graphics etc. Which sucks, hopefully they are saving that preview for a later date!
From article previews:
As he takes us through an illustrated guide to FIFA 13′s updates he begins by describing how the expansion of one of FIFA 12′s successes, the “player impact” engine, became intrinsic to FIFA 13, the mechanic usually reserved for when defender blocked attacker now being implemented across the whole pitch. Big, strong defenders will now be better able to push an attacker off the ball (without incurring the wrath of the referee), defenders will look to block the run of an off-the-attacker and attackers will no longer have instant control when receiving a pass.
This battle for possession swings both ways however, a defender for example won’t be blessed with Ronaldinho-like control either, rather he’ll now have to clear his lines unless he wants to risk a fleet-footed striker taking advantage of a poor first touch, as EA look to make good on their promise of having FIFA ever closer to real football.
With defenders receiving their share of enhancements so too must attackers, the key aspect here the fundamental change to how off-the-ball players analyse space and eventually pick the direction and timing of their run. Underneath the hood there’s a different system in play this time, and where a player might have made unrealistic “zig-zag” runs before, here attackers stick to their guns and make their run with stronger conviction; even predicting not just what the player’s next pass might be, but even the pass subsequent to that.
Source
“We’ve completely changed the way our positioning analysis works,” explains McHardy. “What this allows is for our players to now run with more conviction. They’re not as indecisive as they used to be. In ‘FIFA 12,’ they might start running and change their minds maybe three or four times during your run, which really kills off the effectiveness of your run. Players were taking themselves out of the game because they couldn’t decide what to do. Now, you have players analyzing the entire length of the run, and it’s a much more stable system because now when a player decides to go for a run, he sticks with it, and that’s just one small piece of what we’re doing in a new system we’re calling Attacking Intelligence.

Compared to the FIFA 12 it looks better imo, but I hope that the first touch control thing doesn't make the game glitch like in FIFA 12.

EA has revealed a host of new information at its Gamescom Press Conference, FIFA 13 will feature a FIFA Pro Club Web app(iPhone/Android) where players can search for pro clubs and manage them. Some new features have also been added to the Ultimate team mode which in this year's edition will not only include rare players but others as well, players can purchase coins for FUT from the XP they earn during online/offline games and a head to head mode for offline/online games has also been added to the mix.
The most exciting feature announced was "matchday" that will allow a dip or improvement in a player's form in real-life football change player rating in the game, but bear in mind this feature is not a part of the Ultimate Team. As goals are scored in real-life football by your team, players will be made aware of that in-commentary during the game.
The demo for FIFA 13 will be available for download September 11 on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3. It will include the likes of AC Milan, Borussia Dortmand, Arsenal, Manchester City and Juventus.
To avoid hacking, Online Pro progression will now be saved on the server and not on the file system. Online and Offline Pro Clubs are now different, so no more boosting is allowed. Maxed out Pros will be more realistic and similar to real life players.
Another good addition is no more fully assisted goal keepers in clubs which means holding LB is not going to help you anymore and you have to make control them manually. Tuned attributes and accomplishments is going to make the in-game Goal Keepers behave much more like their real life counter parts. AI teammates will improve as your Club improves.

What do you do for a living? Super random question, but I'm just wondering >.<
Man FIFA is always huge. I got 12 on my phone and it contributed to my cell phone sports game addiction....I finally uninstalled it and cleared everything, but I'm still getting the urge to play haha.... Looks cool as always but I usually don't get console games. I just might consider getting FIFA 13 for mobile (though that'll be out Q1 2013 at the earliest probably) though.

Just realized i bought EA season ticket for not being able to load the game once more! damn you EA. stealing our money like that. 3 day earlier release joke.
update!
I am an EU user and I have paid for the EA Season ticket, my PS3 wallet has shown the transaction and I received email confirmation of my purchase.
I downloaded the early release from the PS3 store.
When I tried to go on it, I too got the message:
"The content is not available before the start date (800295IE)"
How can I resolve this issue?
Edit - Issue resolved by cancelling the pre-order.
To do this go to your PS3 account, Account management, Translaction management, recent purchases and then select the £0.00 preorder and cancel.
Got it to work by doing the last thing in this sentence!!! :D

What do you guys think about FIFA13 so far?
I've played a lot since release, I haven't really played FIFA in a long time. I used to play PES a few years ago, PES 7,8 were awesome games.
FIFA13 is very good on some parts, but there are some really annoying things as well: - Difficulty: The gap between semi-pro and professional is too big I feel. I won 10 out of 10 games on semi-pro when I started my career season, when I upped it to professional the AI suddenly has super dribbling and defending skills. I struggle to score goals, and the only types of goals I score are longshots from 16-20m, since their defense is impossible to get through. They are never losing the ball when they attack, never allowing me to run past a defender in 1on1. - Blocking shots: Getting shots past the defenders is really hard once inside the 16m area, there is always a player to block the shot, I think it's better to shoot earlier and further out.. which is not really realistic. I've tried to use the curve modifier with mixed success, but there is rarely enough power in the shot to make it past the GK. - Defending: I don't really like the way you defend in this game. Especially vs professional AI, they just walk through most of the time even if I position my defenders well and use tackle/standing tackle to interrupt. It seems a bit 50/50 whether or not the defender will take the ball or not.
I haven't played much online yet, as most people just roll over me. The good thing about the game is that there is a lot of things to improve on for me. I realize since I'm fairly new to the FIFA, I will have to catch up to the better players.
