I've created this blog in order to share some of the stuff going on in my life right now. I know, I know, you're probably asking right now: "well, who is this guy and why shoud I care about his life?" - Well, I wouldn't post, if this wasn't somehow relevant to Starcraft, Korea and the curious netizens of TL.
About me
My name is Tobias, I'm 21 years old and currently live in the Saxonian countryside. (in other words, at my moms place) I've gotten on TL during the Starcraft 2 beta. Before, I hadn't really been following Starcraft at all, but I wasn't foreign to Broodwar. Some of my buddies at school used to play it, and I sometimes joined in over Hamachi, we would play FFA and I would always get stomped. I never understood the basic concepts, I'd just mass Siege Tanks or Goliaths and defended my one base until I ran out of minerals or built missile turrets all around my base.
I've played a bunch of RTS relatively casually (SupCom and CoH), but I was never REALLY into RTS until Starcraft 2 came out. I'm actually not much of a player, but rather am follower of the pro-scene since launch.
(I also play drums, yay)
And what else? I'm a university student at Chemnitz University of Technology, currently finishing my Bachelor of English and American Studies.
AND I'm going on my semester abroad to Korea in 1,5 weeks, where I'll be continuing my studies at the University of Incheon up until Christmas
Great, and now?
I'd like to keep you guys posted on the things I'll experience in Korea, related to Starcraft and all the other things I'll see and learn. Hopefully there will be lots of photographs and stories to share!
Right now, I'm still in Germany, finishing some term papers, but I'll be on my way on August 19th, so expect more to come at the end of August.
Anything else?
Yes! For every blog entry, I want to provide some content of course, of all kinds of nature.
For this first blog, I've dug up a relatively old video, which I posted here on TL about 1 year ago already. Makes me sad that I won't be able to play drums for 4 months...
See you guys around!
