We at Team Clash are very proud to announce that from today forward we will be competing as the Starcraft 2 division of Back2Back Gaming, a multigaming organization that boasts a stellar pedigree from the Counter-Strike 1.6 era of eSports. We are all very excited to be working with an organization of their caliber and helping them begin to make a footprint in the new wave of eSports titles. You can expect to see some of our players representing the organization at the upcoming Major League Gaming Spring Championships in Anaheim, California this coming weekend, and at many more events to come!
This merger is something we're very excited about. I feel it's a really big step for our team in more than one aspect. Unfortunately we did part ways with a good portion of our previous roster, on great terms I would add. Some decided to step back from Professional play, others chose to move on to other teams. For privacy sake, I can't really add as to where they're going or where they might end up in the future, but we wish the best of luck to them all. It's also with extreme sadness that I have to add we lost our ace player, and great friend Eun "MoOk" Kang to the Korean Military Service requirement, as he's very near the maximum age of mandatory service. However, we're very excited about the new additions to our roster and hope they can grow with us and make the team even stronger in our new, healthier training environment.
Representing us at MLG Spring Championships will be:
Alex “Shew” Raymond
“I'm really excited to be joining B2B. I feel that we are building a strong line-up of talent and our potential is limitless. The management is also the strongest and most hardworking of any organization I've been a part of firsthand. I hope to make B2B proud in both my and my team's performance.”
Kevin “Siphonn” Bentz
After leaving my previous team, Flow Gaming, I came in search of a different team with players who wanted to improve and had the determination that I did. After looking around for a bit I finally heard about B2B, they had great players and I knew I could grow a lot if I was on a team with some really good practice partners, so I joined! I am happy with my decision and the future looks bright, hope B2B as a team can show good games to everyone and be the best we can possibly be!
Also remaining from the previous roster from Team Clash:
Chad “ Drone” Dallyn – Player/Coach
“As time passed and we were notified of MoOk's military requirements, we became increasingly aware of the need to restructure the team. We had two possible directions: building the team with known players with existing fan bases or strong but lesser known players that have the potential to become something special. As I have seen in my time with both Starcraft: Brood War and Starcraft 2, I feel that a homegrown talent makes a team really feel like a family rather than mercenaries who are paid to come in and win. With that mindset, I felt that I would help retool the team with strong players with tons of potential, in the attempt to allow this to blossom into something truly special. My work is never done as I am constantly scouting players, looking for the next future star. I now present to you the fruits of our labor, Back2Back.SC2”
Daniel “ZaiZai” Xie
Patricio “PaTo” Borghi
Brian “ Roger” Lee
The owner of the organization, Nick Canarelli had some wonderful compliments to share as his views on the acquisition
“Speaking on behalf of Back2Back Gaming, we are pleased to announce the acquisition of Team Clash, along with additional players to further strengthen the roster. We feel very strongly about the decision we have made and are extremely excited to see what the future holds for us. These players have an exceptional amount of talent, and have continued to show their dedication and hard work ethic as they've progressed. We hope with the additional support we can provide that the team can achieve even more growth and success in the future.”
We’d also like to extend our thanks to our new sponsors that help provide the support it takes to maintain a team!
This announcement is a little rushed on our end, but we didn't want to miss the opportunity to represent the organization at one of the largest LAN events of the year! Expect to see our roster gain more strength officially on June 21st!
We’re also proud to finally release the brand new Back2BackGaming Website along with this announcement! Check it out to learn more about the new team!
