Did not think I would ever have this happen
I saw someone I know in one of those porn ads that pop up.
She isn't someone I know very well, we went to highschool together but I haven't seen her in about 2 years.
I'm 100% the face is her not really sure about uhhh the rest but I'm not really sure how to approach her on this. I know I need to do something so I took a screen shot of the ad.
Any advice on how to go on from here??
to clarify it she wasn't in a porn it was just one of those pictures on the side that try to lure you to other sites. As of now I'm thinking the best thing i could do it just send her the picture I not like I've got anything to lose

Porn ad pop up...right
Edit: Better add some content. Why would you need to do anything about it? If she wants to be in porn and get paid for it, that's her choice. If you are saying that the website illegally took her picture and put it on there, that's a different story. It would probably be good if she knew. But that would be really hard to explain to someone haha

if you post the picture here, I might be able to give you better advice after I survey the situation...
|
Why, exactly, do you feel the need to "approach her on this" anyway?
|
It might not have anything to do with her, it kinda depends what the picture is. A lot of these 'advertisements' are just someone taking random pics from facebook, photoshopping the shit out of em then using them in a random popup, with no consent from whoever the picture is of
|
OP's concern isn't that she's doing porn, but that some advertisers are misappropriating her identity, then falsely portraying her as a porn star in their ad. Just show it to her, then let her deal with it.
|
I'd suggest having a..... personal moment.... with the picture and see how that makes you feel. If you feel guilty then I definitely think you should tell her.
|
Why can't this ever happen to me? Idk, if you talk to her it would be extremely awkward even if it is her in the ad, what if it isn't? ^^ I wouldn't tell her unless I knew her, why would you care about some girl you went to highschool with anyway? Unless if she isn't just A girl...
EDIT
I like how the advice is to let everyone take a look at the pic, well OP, wtf are you waiting for? Show us the pic so we can help you!
|
You don't have a relationship with her so if you tell her you're doing her a service, just make sure to iterate that you didn't cause the picture to be posted.
If she IS in adult movies then she'll probably just tell you to buzz off or something in which case.....okay, you can sleep well knowing you did the right thing.
Ps. if she's hot enough to get fake pics made of her, and she's very grateful for your help....use your imagination!
|
If it were me I would not tell the girl unless she was a good friend. Really, there isn't a whole lot to gain in this situation and you are going to seem really creepy. Chances are it won't get taken down regardless. To each their own I guess.
|
Ignore it and move on, it's not someone close to you.
|
i would send it to her.
remember what happened to incontrol and anna??
people stealing shit from facebook and using it for advertising.
edit: oh, i think you may be saying its her nude. if so, i would ignore it.
|
Well, you should send it to her and say you found it awkward (which is the truth).
Might as well add some humour, like "Hey, you made me lose my boner!" <insert pic> "I found this at <website.com>."
|
Since it sounds like it's one of those banners that has pictures swiped from FaceBook, I'd tell her about it. Just...try not to be creepy.

lol, that will be an awkward moment... "Hi, I know it's been 2 years since we last saw each other at school, but while surfing for porn the other day, I came across a sexy picture that looked just like you! Care to eloborate?"
I don't see why you have to do anything. How does this even concern you? Considering "She isn't someone you know very well".

Same thing could be said about inControl and Anna's picture being used for a dating site ad...and I'm pretty sure they were happy to be notified.
It would be fairly easy to say, too. "I found a facebook(?) image of yours being used for some advertisement for an adult website...(include details). Sorry if this seems weird, I just thought you would appreciate knowing that your photos were being used without your permission".
|
Show her the image, prefacing it with "I was looking for faps and found this and it sufficed. Oh also I should confirm if this is actually what your body looks like so I can confront the police."

Do what we did when we saw one of our old highschool classmates on a Girls Gone Wild TV ad. Distribute it to every highschool friend you have and call them to laugh about it. I guess it's different though, cause in this case we knew the girl wanted this to happen cause you know when you're getting filmed for Girls Gone Wild.
In your case, you only need to bring it to her attention if you think the picture was used without her consent. Just send it to her, tell her it looks like someone's using it illegally, and say you'll stop worrying about it if she did consent.
