Yay...... lets watch the same 32 players duke it out like they always do, without having to go through any qualifiers whatsoever. And they get the fat juicy $10k prizepool while the Collegiates get to split $1.5k. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say without any evidence or idea of the truth whatsoever, that Day9 was invited to cast and he turned it down. If esports continues like this (shitty invitational formats + turning to ppv) it will die really really fast in the West. Korea will remain as the final vestige of professional Starcraft like it used to. I fully agree with you here when it comes to invitational tournaments! I dont like seeing all the old people who disappoint while playing and would eventually fail in the qualifiers. I want new blood! I want to see people like Snute or Harstem, I want to see the whole Rox.Kis Roster crushing through the qualifiers though everybody underrates them. I want people who deserve to be there and not people being there because they were good 1 year ago and made themself a name.

First of all there are several tournaments doing what you demand. Second they want to PROMOTE their tournament to raise their REVENUE to give more money to AMATEURES as those prizepools will rise too. Read the story Jacobs Ladder and you will maybe understand where they started. To now accuse them for not carrying for underdogs is just ridicouls and pathetic.
