Since female pro-gamers lack skill and therefore results, their main selling point is their looks. StarTale announces female SC2 player addition It is no secret that StarTale.Rainbow visited China together with his girlfriend, Aphrodite, for last years ZOWIE DIVINA. Where most people think that his reason for attending the event was to support Aphrodite in her efforts to become champion, he had a different mission that has been kept a secret until now. While Aphrodite was practicing for the games, Rainbow was testing the skills of a potential new member of the StarTale family, the Chinese SC2 player Yiying ‘miss’ Han - and she passed. Yiying ‘miss’ Han was a professional Warcraft 3 player up until a few years ago where she was offered a job to become the hostess of a gaming tv show. Today she is the most famous gaming tv hostess in China, but unable to forget about her dream of becoming a professional e-sports player, she started to play Sc2, and has found time to practice every day despite of her busy schedule. Her dedication and passion to e-sports attracted the attention of StarTale and after a series of tests, she has been offered the chance to pursue her dream. “When I first heard of miss, I was told about a very famous hostess of a gaming program, but I didn’t know she had so much talent in game.” said Jong Wook Won, head coach of StarTale and continues, “Professional gaming is not only for males, when female players with as much talent as aphrodite and miss comes by, you have to grab the moment and give them the chance to grow their talent in the best environment. This is just the beginning, we want to help make female gaming more competitive.” “Lots of people told me that I am stupid for giving up my job as a tv hostess to become a computer player, but how often do you get a chance to follow your dream?” said Yiying ”miss” Han, “When I got informed of this test to become a member of StarTale I was really nervous, just to get the opportunity is a dream come true. When I was told I could become a part of StarTale, it was the happiest day of my life, I still can’t believe it! I will do my best every day, in every game. This is my dream come true.” Miss is the first female player from outside Korea to join a Korean professional team. miss is practicing very hard for her first official appearance as a StarTale player – we look forward to seeing her in action! via 원종욱@facebook

On a serious note, I hope she does well. It's always good to have more figureheads playing the game seriously, male or female.

She won the latest SteelSeries Iron.lady tournament for Warcraft 3 which arguably pitted the worlds best Warcraft 3 females against each other.
