EPTSheth- Can you say manner bear? First off, because of his rotundness he was very easy to scout ( I mean spot.) I went right up to him and introduced myself and told him he's awesome and yada yada yada. He kept eye contact with me, he smiled, nodded, even feigned interest to know my name and more about me. He literally couldn't have been nicer. I got to ask him if he ever has partied with White-ra, he said of course he had and that White-ra is another guy who is simply too nice in person. I had only seen (spoiler for kiwikaki vs sheth bo 9) up to round 5 where Sheth and Kiwikaki were tied 2-2, before leaving to go to the NASL event. I saw sheth there, went up to him again, and asked him how he did? "Yea so sheth 5-2'ed Kiwikaki." I told my friend. "Oh nice, you found out online?"
"No, he just told me himself." I will never get to say that again I'm sure, but it felt dam good at the time.
DJ Wheat- First off, when you see him in person he looks more like an adult. On the stream he looks like he's 25, in person he looks closer to 35. Not in a mean way, just in a , "Wait a sec, your not a kid anymore." way. Gray hairs even. But he was super nice, we asked him how mini wheat was, he responded politely, asked for our names, the usual nice stuff.
Hasu Obs- I was watching one of the matches when I realized Hasu just decided to sit directly in front of me. I waited till the games end and told him congratz on beating Huk. I was worried he may be annoyed but he was quite the opposite. Big smile on his face, hand extended to meet a fan, very willing to give me some of his time. Again, what nice guy.
At one point of the event, I was sitting with my girl watching Sen play someone when three guys sit behind us talking super loud and obnoxiously. Great, so I turn around to politely ask them to keep it down when I realize it is two SC2 players and a caster (who's names I will not give out of respect) And they are talking shit about everything, girls, life, etc. So I stop listening to Bitter (so the caster can't be Bitter then) to start listening to the guys behind me. Eve's dropping, yes, yes it was. But if they really didn't want me to know about their personal lives they shouldn't have sat behind me and been so loud about it. At one point they start talking about this girl who, "Only fucks asian guys." And they're talking about Naniwa (yep, using his name, oh well) trying to hit on the girl. So one of the players starts doing his Naniwa impression (funniest thing ever, wish wish wish that I had recorded them, creepy I know but hearing them do a Naniwa impersonation was just too funny)
Naniwa impression ---- "Hey girl, it's cold outside and raining, why don't you just come back into my place?" Girl does not. "Dam it, I can never understand fucking bitches!" And I'm trying my heart out not to bust up and reveal that I had infiltrated their conversation. Unlike a zealot, I held.
It was a great event, thanks again NASL! You rock.
