Busy and being broke
Busy and being broke
These are definitely some of the best days of my life so far. A TON of stuff is happening right now, and right now I just hope I can get it all together in my head so I can write something that at least somewhat makes sense.
Starting where I left off - that exam I was about to take didn't go so well - I became sick as hell, missed an entire week of class and the exam. Bummer. I've been studying so I can take the mockup-exam next month though, so there shouldn't be any problem finishing that class.
Though I haven't been studying ALL the time since, kekeke. Skyrim came out, and what a game! There's already been a gazillion threads about it, so I'll just say that I've played 70 hours so far and that me and lot of classmates have grand plans once the modding tools come out. Look forward to more info as it comes!
Speaking of games, no progress have really been made with the on the side-game making that I'm a part of. Partly because of sickness, partly because of sheer amount of homework that we've gotten, though there is one thing that IS progressing forward:
The StarCraft 2-league we're starting! I'm part of the team that's making it happen, and we've come quite a long way already! I'm heading over to a friends place tomorrow to study, watch a movie AND make sure that he works on the website and league-system that he's doing for the league! With him being the awesome programmer he is he'll have at the very least finished drafts tomorrow, and if everything flows even worse than expected we'll hopefully have the first "season" started around the time the new semester starts in January. ^^ I'm really excited for this project since 1) It's StarCraft, duh. and 2) it's a great way for me to get connections with some of the older students that's on this project! Now I know most of them already due to other things (had a spontaneous LAN in school over a weekend a couple of weeks ago for example), but it's always good to get to know more people in the business, right?
But you know, it doesn't end there! Remember the club, SK, that I'm a part of? (if not, go read my previous blogs ) Well, since this Tuesday, I'm officially on next years board for that club. ^^ What it means is simply getting to do more stuff and have more stuff to decide on, but here as well I'm getting a chance to meet more people I wouldn't always hang with otherwise, so it's a great opportunity that I'm really looking forward to this following year. :D
So yeah, that's the "busy" part... Now for the "broke" part. ._.
I'm in deeeeeeep trouble when it comes to money. Or, well, not exactly trouble, but I'm running short on cash to say the least. I have ~$100 to live on until the end of January unless I get some money for christmas. Luckily, I can delay my rent a couple of months (yay for having dad as the one I'm paying rent to ^^'), so all it's going to go to is food. It's been a couple of scarce days already, but I think I can manage. Only thing is that I can't afford the textbook for class, and we get to have open book on the next exam. ._. Kind of a bad time to not being able to afford the book. x) But, I'll live. I'll survive, somehow. ^^

A little extra as thanks for reading - I actually had this following song on repeat for 2 hours the other day without being bothered by it. Needless to say I like it, and hope you will too!
