Vile Gaming is proud to announce its addition of Canadian SC2 player Zac "Chance" Palmer to it's lineup. Even now, Chance is settling in at MLG Providence where he will be competing in the open bracket.
With an extremely impressive run in the IPL3 qualifier and a consistently high standing in the ladder, Vile Gaming and it's players are excited to have him as part of the team.
Resident Vancouver ESPORTS enthusiast Uyuu held the following interview with Chance on his joining:
Uyuu: Now that you're with Vile, what goals do you have for the future as a professional gamer?
Chance: One of my biggest priorities was to find a team with an active and competitive roster, with people like State/Ddoro/Domorin/Illusion I think I've found that . In terms of my other goals they remain pretty small and simple, like making my practice more consistent, refining builds and keeping up to date with the meta game. I guess one of my more outlandish goals would be to compete against stephano and beat him since he was able to take me out of the last MLG!
Uyuu: As a Zerg player that defeated MarineKingPrime 2-0 in the IPL #4 Qualifier, would you say that ZvT is still your strongest matchup?
Chance: Yes by far and I think that has more to do with the meta game stabilizing, I'm a creature of habit and practice so the more predictable a MU becomes I exponentially do better. ZvP was my strongest up until the infestor change which completely changed how the game is played, now Protoss deviate quite a bit and there is no true structure to their play. ZvZ is a gongshow.
Uyuu: For those that don't know, you'll be competing at MLG Providence. How far do you believe you'll make it in the tournament?
Chance: Reasonably far... you can think of MLG for Koreans playing as the AWAY team, meaning they have a lot more external issues to work with. It's still an insane challenge to beat a full fledged korean but your chances are significantly better in a foreign event. Coupled with my experience at past MLGs I have a much better seed so the early open bracket will be a breeze.
All in all I'm feeling quite confident and ready to represent my new team vile as well as looking forward to a long lasting partnership .
