So we all know what happened with MC, being a reining GSL Champion twice. Decides to take over the foreign scene. Than poof, falls out of both Code S and Code A. That devistated me as a fan... Put than came back to MLG to get second, and win his spot back in Code S. To see MC pull this off almost made me shed nerd tears, but it got me thinking...
What about those NA players, you know the ones who either had good success and dropped from the lime light, or the ones who have always been on the scene, just never had the results needed to pull a big tournament.
Best examples would be both Tyler and iNcontroL. Both players showed early promise, and have basically dropped on the map. If you see these players in a group, you think well thats another 0-5 for them. Don't you think its time some of these players got redemtion?
I'm gunna post a poll of the players you would like most to win a significant tournament. I know most people will look at it as a popularity contest, but I want it to be based around players you think deserve a tournament win.
Poll: Which NA Player is most needing redemtion?Tyler (26) 70% iNcontroL (5) 14% KiWiKaKi (3) 8% Destiny (2) 5% Machine (1) 3% CatZ (0) 0% drewbie (0) 0% SLush (0) 0% Axslav (0) 0% KawaiiRice (0) 0% Minigun (0) 0% Spanishiwa (0) 0% 37 total votes Your vote: Which NA Player is most needing redemtion? (Vote): Destiny (Vote): CatZ (Vote): drewbie (Vote): Tyler (Vote): Machine (Vote): KiWiKaKi (Vote): SLush (Vote): Axslav (Vote): iNcontroL (Vote): KawaiiRice (Vote): Minigun (Vote): Spanishiwa

BTW if we do get enough public opinion on this poll, we are in the planning stages of having like a 500$ invitational for the players to play at, hoping they will agree :D

You should spell check before hitting post- it detracts from how serious I'm willing to take something on the internet.
Good luck with your hopes to have an invitational/show match. I would offer the advice to tread cautiously after the recent debacle with pre arranging show matches before confirmation. Though I don't suspect you of anything wrong! ^_^;;
Thank you for at the very least encouraging me to compare Inc and Tylers MLG records. Tyler has had two 0-5s and Inc has had 3. Interesting but grim stuff.

Probably because Jinro is EU.

Jinro isn't NA, he's EU

Machine easily, he keeps putting together impressive results but just falls a little short.Out of all the players on this I think only Machine and KiWiKaKi are viable dark horse canidates, and I'm not that sure about KiWi~~

Machine is doing better than iNcontroL has been doing lately, the only question about KiWi is that he is doing pretty good in NASL 2

Not that I'm saying prepared builds are somehow inferior, by the way. It's just that the MLG format doesn't play to KiWi's strengths.

I think tylers first Vlog had him state that he doesnt practice the way he wants to due to continually fighting depression. Im not sure this is the sole factor, but it was definitely 1 of the reasons why he hasnt achieved the success he could have. I wish someday he feels better and shows the world whats up. By far one of the smartest RTS players out there, capable of breaking down the game at a very high level.
