Infact no, herpes actually DOES its job and makes you itch. I'm not very familiar with all the controversy involving Milkies and I don't care to familiarize myself with it, but to be honest, I respect her for being able to get through whatever shitstorms she's had to come through, especially for a community that actively hates her. Milkis comes under fire for one evening and bows out. I mean ... what? Milkis does great for the community for 999 years, then finds out he can't take criticism and bows out. Sad, but nice that we had him.
kelly does nothing but SHIT ALL OVER EVERYTHING repeatedly, damaging both viewer experiences, AND eSports' legitimacy as a whole, irreparably, then sticks around like a fart in an elevator, much to the ire of everyone involved.

I just read your big "controversial" reddit post and it was fine. It's a reasonable position to take and may very well be true, mostly because it's a subjective question of what exactly is the threshhold for calling something an esport. You define it at a very high level, others say lower.

You get shit because of your ability, and how much merit you have as a caster, whereas Milkis is getting shit for his opinion. Both attacks manifest themselves in this mobbish way, but really, no one complained THAT much about Milkis' competency as a translator, but people don't like you because they think you're a bad caster.

this sucks, good luck with everything

thats pathetic. Keep doing what you do is bring awesome players to MLG Are fuckin kidding me? Milkis didn't do anything. It was reddit who raised over 4000$ overnight, so MKP could fuckin go to Disneyland and generally have a nice time during his first stay at a foreign event. And now after his hugely insulting and disrespectful post on reddit yesterday, Milkis is taking a massive dump all over the very same people who supported him and many of his little projects in the first place. And what does he do? Instead of apologizing or at least standing up for his believes, he decides to delete his reddit- and twitter-account. What a coward! How the fuck can you say Milkis didn't do anything? He was the one who did ALL the work except the funding. Without the work he did, reddits funding wouldn't have done jack shit unless someone else would have stepped in.
All Milkis did was to ask reddit for more money.
1. At first, it shouldn't have cost more than 2000-2500$ to send MKP to America. But Milkis decided for some reason, that Buisiness-Class-Flights weren't good enough since all the other koreans were taking another plane. So reddit upgraded the flight.
2. There were countless people from reddit who provided Milkis with information and brochures about comfy hotels, good foodplaces, etc. And what does Milkis do: Ask for more money!!! "Hey we want to go Disneyland!!! You're not everyday in Florida, you know!!!" And reddit obliged and gave another 1000 bucks.
3. Florida is not an expensive place. You don't need 4000+$ for a 4-days-stay, but reddit wanted MKP to have a good time, so the people donated generously. Funstory: Milkis expected to have 500$ left at the end and wanted to give out MKP-signed Prime-clothing to the community. Well guess what: There was only 50$ left....
My point is Milkis is a ungrateful piece of poo. The reddit community has supported him from the get-go. How he managed to turn this whole thing around with him being the victim and all, is what boggles my mind.

I honestly really liked Milkis translations and sad to see him go over a little bit of controversy... The one thing I don't understand is that he himself has shitted on other people in the community at times, I actually remember him complaining about other translators in public saying they are doing a poor job... so if he can dish it why can't he take it? (I tried to find the actual tweet I was referring too but he deleted his twitter.) In any case this does seem like something he is going to regret because the thing he had going for him was his first movers advantage, he filled the translating space when no one could and got his fanbase off that. I am sure organizations will end up just using more professional translators because they do not have the community based ones that had his own fans.
Very sad to see you go, hopefully you change your mind.

Had a ton of respect & liking for the work, Milkis had done for the community. However his reddit posts which basically insulted every other e-sport community aside from Brood War took it all away from me. Was even more surprised and disappointed to see an attention-seeking "you don't know what you've missed by pushing me away" goodbye post on TL.
Oh wells, hopefully we'll get better translators in future events ! Perhaps hot ones :X

My brain just blew out my ears. What. The. Hell. Just. Happened. One day he's writing well-written articles and translating, the next he's writing a well-written article about retiring. When did this happen?

I don't understand why you made this post, seems pretty childish but whatever. Thanks for your translations, I enjoyed them. Have a nice life!

It's weird how some people just can't handle being liked.

Pretty much that only E-sport related.

He didn't do anything before asking Reddit first. All Milkis did was what reddit community wanted to and that is why the donation amount was huge.
No one else wanted to step in to do it "better", no one else didn't even bother trying to to get MKP to MLG and US. (Well MLG did, but Prime refused). You are simply out seeing everything he did from flight to hotel booking, all the guidance he did in MLG and Florida and what not. Because Reddit wanted to give Milkis a lot of money is Milkises fault huh?
Give him some creditt for setting all this up for you or next time step up and do it yourself if "you want to do it better."
e. Seems like the guy got what he/she deserved. -_-

He said that the bar for being an eSport was somewhere (or above) what BW is, and therefore BW is the only eSport so far.
Then everyone cried and circlejerked angrily about how mean he is. Seemed to be a reasonable argument - though I'm not sure it was true - but others obviously read something insulting and aggressive into it.
