Our fellow nerds want more and more, and it's ok, can't blame them. Nothing is ever right, but that's allright, they say it, they seem mean, but in their deepest thoughts they don't always mean it. It's all stuff they wouldn't say face to face in real life, think about it. Rest in peace.

I think this decision is more childish and immature than the people who provoked you to make it. Every single gamer and caster that is exposed to the public gets criticized (last night I was watching minigun stream and he gave out his code on stream to find someone to play his student, and within a minute he had a message on his screen in all caps that said "your stream fucking sucks"). Go into the chat of any live stream and you will see it, ask any player or any caster about it and they will tell you. There are always going to be people who believe they are justified in insulting players and casters and criticizing everything they do, it's just how things are. To let a small group of people dictate your future in eSports is really irrational and I hope you reconsider.

Some people take years to get good at it and be at peace with all the things the community says and other people should just avoid it completely. Keep in mind that when you say something publicly and read so much feedback, you are going to get every single kind of response. You may as well not read the feedback and just imagine "what is every possible way someone could respond to this?" There's really no difference. If you are seeking a consensus response, keep in mind that consensus easily changes one day to the next. Using large scale public feedback is very very tricky. Most people don't need to. Ask advice privately from people you trust and respect. I'm sure you'd do great with just that. --When you express opinions or explain your stance on an issue, it reads better and makes you feel better if you are very humble and not too ambitious with your claims. This is just a change in the phrasing and mood of the text and careful clipping of the scope on everything you say. Unless you are absolutely 110% sure that what you're saying is correct and you're willing to defend exactly what you said to the death (even if you wrote ambiguous things and said things you didn't mean to), then you should be as humble and as limited as possible. You should act like you are willing to change every opinion you have, or perhaps go farther than that and act like you want to change every opinion you have, even if you don't feel that way at all. You can be 99% sure that you're completely correct, but you should still act this way. You should do it because it makes it much easier to cope when it turns out you are wrong or when it turns out that everyone hates what you're saying (even if they can't prove that you're wrong and even if it's not wrong at all). And you act that way because people will respond to it better and like you more. All sorts of very smart and successful people practice this, whether in academia or business. They have extreme and passionate sentiments hidden behind impenetrable walls of humble and limited public speech. Words of wisdom. As a Milkis follower on twitter, he always struck me as really negative and cynical about everything. He had to qualify a lot of thing as "even though this sucks..." and "it's not as big of a deal as you think..."

I can understand that you've had enough and wish you the best in the future. For what it's worth, you didn't do anything wrong, it's just that this community simply is a goddamn misogynist sausage fest. You did your part to change some of that, and that's all anyone could ask.

With the elitist attitude you have, Milkis, you shouldn't be involved in eSports. Best of luck in your future, you made the right decision to leave.

If you're going to drama queen this all up, and make a "tell me I'm great"-thread, I can't see you surviving on the internet.
