Hope you ereased the second layer with the black colour? You only need the first layer+mask. The picture should look like this example from Teliko:+ Show Spoiler +
You add the layer with the black colour only to see the effect of how it probably look in the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Funny thing @the patch.mpq i extract a picture and didnt even changed it. Drop it back to the mpq -> start game -> immediately the patcher begins to work :D Something is really weird

So i´ve tested nearly all EU clients but no one works. Even telled 5 friends of mine to do so and every one of them have the same problem. They change the patch.mpq start the game and get the patcher. So it seems to be a country side problem. German btw

Teliko wrote Back now, found it and fixed it. Go to your sc2 directory and go to the folder battle.net, then open battle.net-patch.mpq using the mpq editor, then go to battle.net/shared and drop this download there. This is basically the same name as the dds used to create that blue border, except it's entirely translucent so will make it look as though nothing is there.
Definately not a country side problem. German here too. Worked fine.
Just to be sure, u opened like C:\Games\Starcraft II\Battle.net\Battle.net-patch.mpq. And then pasted the download via MPQ-Editor in there?
Well could upload my mpq if u like, but it might have some other changes in there as well, not sure which though^^

Ya, i am sure that i did everything right ^^ the patch.mpq remains untouchable and thats even for the friends of mine that tryed to do it. So i have no fucking clue why. You could give your mpq to try it but i have no hope that it will work =)

People don't have to share with others what they have done if they dont want to. Do it yourself lazy boy.
Anyway, those customised background are awesome, but has anyone been banned till now ?? I made some of my own but Im not sure it's safe..

Well I tried to make my own but sadly after 2 hours of struggling I decided that this was over my skill level. Instead I just decided to use the ones people posted in here Here's what I got: Home: Medic face in OP. QM terran: Nova + her ass. QM zerg: Kerrigan ghost with back against the wall, like the one in the cinematic. QM protoss: anime medic girl. QM random: other ghost girl, not kerri nor nova.
Lazy atm, will post pics later

I actually agree with him, it's pretty irritating when people show things off and aren't willing to share them. Especially considering most of the time it's not actually their pictures they're using in the first place. Obviously they should learn to make them themselves, but some people are more talented than others. People shouldn't have to try and replicate other peoples' work when it takes two minutes to just upload it. And no, no one's been banned.
