Hey guys, its been a while since I've written a blog.
For quite some time now i've been busy with life and I got to surf youtube every now and then
And guess what, I encountered this little Gem:
Ah, that epic music when your fighting Robotnik (Eggman for those who hasn't grown up with Sonic) This was so nostalgic to me that I even felt the need to make a blog on TL to share the love <3 and see how you guys felt about Sonic 1 - 3 and the music.
Personally I beat all Sonic one, two, three and Sonic and Knuckles. They were seriously seriously so fun and very challenging too (Sonic 2 final boss, nuff said ) This was my childhood, and the music was soooo great. I consider them one of the BEST soundtracks from a video game in history.
In my opinion the new sonics are incredibly lackluster and the music is HORRIBLE. but this video here got me seriously pumped!!! and so excited for a new sonic game!!! It felt like old times!
And another trailer: THIS LOOKS EPIC.
I think they've got it right this time <3
So Teamliquid let me ask you:
Did you play sonic?

First of all I love how your username is pretty apt.
I still play sonic. I bust out the emulator and just play. They're some of my favorite games of all time, and the music is one of the best parts. I listen to it while laddering.
And I hadn't seen that trailer. I'm pumped. Thanks for the info.
Generations looks pretty interesting, at least from the trailer.. but I can almost 99% guarantee that it will be a disappointment, like every Sonic past Adventure 2 was (I had played every Sonic game until Rush 2, then gave up on the series ....)
Yeah, love the tunes, but the real soundtrack to my childhood is the classic Mario and Zelda tunes. I was a Nintendo kid. Sonic games were great and had some good tunes though as well. Thanks!
Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast is a very special game. Don't know how many hours I spent playing that as a kid. Roaming around the city outside of the missions really tied the game together in a 'ninja gaiden' sort of way.
I'll never forget how bad the sound channels were for Sega compared to SNES lol
Anyways, I love playing me some Sonic every now and then. PS3 has a reboot of sorts of the classic available online - better sounds and graphics, but still great 2D Sonic gameplay!
I enjoyed Sonic when I was like six years old. Then I played Ninja Gaiden and Megaman, and after trying Sonic again I was shocked by how easy the game was in comparison :/
Sonic has been and always will be a simple (yet fun) game. Just hold right!
MegaMan and Ninja Gaiden are amongst the more difficult of the games available for sure. But even compared to less challenging games, Sonic is pretty easy.
