2) order on amazon with free shipping 3) use the first CD key from the store version 4) when the amazon copy comes in, take that back to the first store for the refund 5) have sc2 quickly without waiting for shipping

you might get lucky at gamestop or EB games, or with someone who works at such a place i also think it's funny how the actual game is rated lower than its brady guide on amazon

This is called price fixing my friend. you are not paying a price based on its worth you are paying the price that blizzard wants to charge you, hence why it is not cheaper when you buy just the key without any media etc. so no you wont fidn a cheaper place to buy it, if you do find one please share it. Welcome to being fucked up the ass. Let me spell it out for the dumb fuckers out there He wants to buy the game as cheap as poissible Buying just the key should cut costs for the producer so why then does it cost more if you buy it direct DIGITALLY from blizzard than it does to place an order at amazon, who then send that order to a warehouse, where someone packs it, which is then sen tto a distribution company who then take to to a warehouse, unpack it and move it onto another truck, drive to your house and then by hand pass it to you ... how is that cheaper than simply sending you a cd key? It makes NO sense ... unless they are trying to rob you. User was warned for this post

What bothers me is that Amazon has the game listed @ $50 USD, but I really just want the virtual CD-Key purchase (I have the original game from my first account). When I go around to different sites the CD-Key is listed from $55 - 60 USD, more expensive than buying the full game. Does anyone know of a place to get less expensive keys, or do I just need to suck it up and purchase the full game? Just suck it up and purchase the full game. Blizzard games don't typically drop in price until they launch another game (Heart of the Swarm is probably next).

Then goes on complaining about the price and trying to find the cheapest place possible, not liking the fact if he orders from amazon he has to wait, blatantly ignoring the fact he can buy it from bnet and have it instantly or go to a store and have the same thing without waiting. WHTF rofl.... i think he's saying, he doesn't have a problem making the payment, online (i'm assuming) and he didn't ignore the online digital purchase option either also in canada right now in the west, it's 5am, so physical copy (for whatever price) not available atm

WHTF You're putting words in his mouth. He says he has no problem paying, meaning he can easily pay with a credit card or whatever he wants. I think the issue is that the OP wants to buy a cd-key for less than 50$ instead finding the fastest way to buy a cd-key. OP, I'm in the same boat as you, I've looking to buy a cheap cd-key online to no avail. I'm going to check the local game shops if they they're selling a retail copy for cheap. I think that's the best bet.

The software costs x amount The box, dvd and all the people involved in all the supply chains and manufacturing of all the tools, vehicles, fuel, buildings, HR departments in all those companies are then an additional cost, lets call it y. IE 1 value is the money blizzard initially sells it to the people who sell it, then a bit is added on. the total cost is x+y ... when you buy it digitally y is almost 0 ... so why does the total cost more? When you buy it digitally this cost shuoldnt be there because none of those actions happen ... ESPECIALLY seeing as when you download it it uses a torrent based peer to peer engine to do so so their costs for electronic distribution are almost zero. MOREOVER if you could buy the cd key then blizzard is not even paying costs for distribution - they could release it onto pirate bay due to the way the key system works and not lose money .... Is that simple enough for you to understand or are you going to keep deliberatley missing the point to make an argument that makes no sense from a COST point of view and is really due to them artificially keeping the price high for a reason other than value to their customers? The fact is the digital version shuold be cheaper and 'people' like you making dumb arguments like that provide a veneer of justification for charging consumers more than necessary shuold really learn to stfu and or read also paying to download it from anywhere? WTF?! you think thats something you should pay for given that your buying an electronic copy and they use a torrent system to distribute? Even then 'from anywhere' is asnine, it would cost them more to lock it down so you had to be at a particular location to download it.

Personally I don't mind paying $60, but it makes 0 sense to pay $60 if I could get it for $50 (or even less). I'm looking at a couple of options at this point, for now I think my best bet is to wait a few days and go hit up a few stores this week and see if I can get it for less, Amazon is not out of the picture as well. If anyone has any other ideas let me know. HMV looked promising at $20 (I would wait for that) but it looks like the promotion is sold out, no surprise there. All the online websites seemed to have it more expensive, that one for 35 Euros looks great but I'm looking for a pass in NA (not EU). At one point in time I was considering getting an EU account though so if that happens I'll use that website, thanks for the heads up Sorry for making the question not clear, in short, there are two things I'm looking for... 1) Lowest cost 2) Fastest service Both factors play into my decision, I was looking for something with a cost as low as Amazon with immediate service. Thanks everyone again
