Actually, he just kind of asked us not to do pregame elections. He didn't say they were not allowed. Plus there's a little note advising people not to consider people running before the game starts as a perk, which means he's expecting people to do it anyway.

People keep mentioning that this is a veteran's game and it's making me nervous because it increases the pressure. What if the people in Pyrr's (mostly) newbie game play way better than we do? How embarrassing would that be?

So far we have Ver, Caller, and BC running for spots. BC has already voted for Ver and Ver has voted for Caller. It appears fishy to me for these people to have already voted for each other. BC's kind of makes sense since he's apparently trying to get second (which is also suspicious as others have pointed out) but I don't think there's anything too major here. Just something to consider for the future.

I would have protected you last game, Ace, if you weren't hit by some crazy vigilante. I just didn't think you needed it since you were under such suspicion at the time that the mafia would be crazy to hit you.

So far the thing I like most is what Ace said about Mynock. Everyone else's vote/opinion seems to be based on behavior from past games. If I just go by what people say about previous game accolades then there are way too many good candidates to choose from and really no way to distinguish between them, especially for me since I've only played in one previous game (though I've looked over a few other games).

What if a double lynch happens to two mafia members and one of them is the pardoner? Is the pardoner able to use his power to prevent the other lynch from happening even though he's getting lynched himself?

And I don't understand L's sentiment of "pressure wont' do fuck all." I thought pressure was the way to get the most information in just about any situation in this game. You evaluate both the person receiving the pressure as well as the person giving it.

From your description it sounds like there's no way a townie could use the pardoner's ability effectively.

Upon more thought, L is absolutely right about how the pardoner basically can't be used well on the town's side based on it's ability. All it does is make a mistake by the town only slightly better, and it may even make the situation even worse because the town will still probably want to kill the same person and now they'll want to kill the pardoner as well.

However, I still don't agree that pressure on the role doesn't matter. That's kind of like just trusting someone because they got the role and just hoping it works out.

L when you quote someone could you please leave in who you're quoting with the message? Sometimes you quote from the middle of a paragraph and it's annoying to go back and figure out where it came from. I don't wanna have to do that again if I decide to re-check all your posts.

I guess the question here is "to nemy or not to nemy." Despite everything that Ace has been saying, I do not think nemy is mafia or traitor. I also think it's better to keep people alive in this game than to get a "better player" into office.

Certainly some people are being more vocal than others right now, but there is a whole host of excellent players that can pick up the slack if the Mafia starts targeting vocal people.

Then NemY flat out says he got caught lying and I figure Ace is a good choice because he's basically been proven correct.

Perhaps I was a little premature in voting for Ace but I certainly don't want to keep switching my vote constantly. I'll definitely think about it more, though. I've got six hours.

I personally want to hear more from Ver. It seems to me like he's just coasting into an elected spot at this point. (Unless he's very active behind the scenes right now.)

I don't understand why any bodyguards would roleclaim at all. What possible good would that do? The only reason that I can think of to roleclaim bodyguard is if you're under suspicion and you need the Mayor/Pardoner's help to not get lynched. But even then doing such a thing would look suspicious as hell to whoever you're roleclaiming to.

I'm going to look over the posts of the three dead and see what I can come up with. I expect everyone else to do the same too. I'm not forgetting what I learned from Camlito (and Qatol after the game) from the last game.

Speaking of which, I'd like to hear from Camlito this game.

Well Ocz in hindsight you were right all along. None of this would have ever happened if we had just elected you.

You guys are making this insanely difficult. So I'll just go over a few of my thoughts.

1: I don't believe any scenerio in which the BGs roleclaimed to anyone. Why would they do that? Neither of them needed any protection against lynches. Also roleclaiming absolutely wrecked us last game.

2: I also don't believe any scenerio where either Ace or Ver purposefully killed off both the bodyguards. Obviously this also goes along with point number 1: they wouldn't even know in the first place. But if for some reason they did know why would it be better to be a mafia with no protection rather than a mafia with protection?

3: Three blues is way beyond coincidence for me.

So, if either Ver or Ace are mafia then they killed off both bodyguards by accident. At this point I don't believe we should lynch either of them. I don't really trust Ver at this point but I also don't like the way Ace is going after him so hard. But I still trust Ace more right now.

I trust Ace more at this point because Ace hasn't done anything fishy in my opinion. I don't like the way he's going after Ver but I can't deny I've had some suspicions about Ver as well.
