<font size=1>GOMtv's Averatec|Intel Classic Season 3 Trailer</font>
GOMtv's Averatec-Intel Classic Season 3 is scheduled to run for 20 weeks beginning Mar. 29th 2009. Unlike most other Broodwar leagues, there will be no preliminary matches, as all 124 participants play in the elimination tournament.
In the season 2 Grand Finals, we saw Bisu handle Jangbi with relative ease, showcasing his finely tuned PvP senses and taking the series 3-1. His victory was soured, however, when he played Jaedong in a special GOM match two weeks later, and lost to the season 1 champion in a brilliantly played 2-3 series.
As with last season, this season's games are broadcast live on GOM's official page with english commentary by Nick "Tasteless" Plott and "SuperDanielMan" Lee, making it the only S.Korean tournament that actively courts the foriegner fanbase. The Format
There are 16 groups. Each group has 2 brackets and 2 seeded players for a total of 32 seeds. The players in each bracket play it out in a best of 3 elimination tournament and the bracket winners play against the bracket seed.
