Last week I wrote: "Boasting KeSPA's support and a large prize pool, it's difficult to comprehend why some teams [...] are refusing to participate," but it's come to my attention that the GOM Classic does not currently have-- and may never have had-- KeSPA sanctioning. I apologize for this error in reporting. This thread has Teamliquid's stance on GOM with regards to TLPD ELO.

With the weakest participants now eliminated, this round is about deciding who gets to play the seeds. For the no-names, it's incredibly important that they get that chance, as a good performance against a seed could push them into the limelight. For the well known non-seeds, like sKyHigh, it may just be another step toward a chance at an individual league finals, but it's an essential step that could trip them up if they're not paying attention. Expect a few upsets this round.
