GomTV's Averatec-Intel Classic Season 2 is scheduled to run for 18 weeks beginning Sep.21st 2008. Unlike most of the other StarCraft leagues, there will be no preliminary matches, as all matches are considered part of the tournament-proper.
In the season 1 Grand Finals of the GSL, we saw Jaedong 3-0 Flash in a dominating fashion. Jaedong took full advantage of mutaling's mobility to humiliate Flash in the first two games, and then finished him off in game 3 by rushing ultra and cloning clouds of scourge into Flash's poorly defended vessels. Will Jaedong be able to repeat last season's performance? In a field of 180 players, it's hard to say, but I'll try to keep this up-to-date so you'll know even if you can't watch the games live.
If you'd like to watch the games with commentary by lilsusie and Tasteless, please visit the official page for the vods as they're released.

Look under sub-heading "The Format" for the initial brackets.

Correct me where I'm wrong but I don't think Boxer can be in the round of 64 already.
There are 32 seeds, 16 on each side of the bracket. So when each seed plays the winner of his group, there will be 64 people left in the tournament.

You're right and wrong. Because of the structure of the tournament there's 2 rounds of 64. Should I call them Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, etc, to avoid confusion?

I think the "Round of 96" might be the best thing to call it.

That's a horrible idea... Then I'd have to call the round of 128 "the round of 160" and the round of 256 with all those byes "the round of 180." I'll just use Gom's naming conventions, I think.

Sure, it's confusing whatever you do tbh ^^

Looks good. Just so that you know, I didn't do anything except do the news write-ups. Also, it would be very nice if you could strike-out the names of the players that have fallen out so far, once you start adding the results.

The Mind vs Baby game is no longer being broadcasted. It's been replaced by Calm vs Lomo. I guess they thought a TvT wouldn't be as interesting as a TvZ.
