The 12th featured some of the best games of the Classic's young season, and the 14th had some fun TvTs, but we're not even halfway done with the round of 64 so get ready for more of the same over the coming weeks.
On the 12th, it was very clear that some of the seeds just wanted to get their round over with. Both Goojila and July adopted very aggressive styles, the latter risking his season on a 5 pool gambit that very nearly didn't pay off. We also got our first looks at Neo Medusa and God's Garden and if these games are any indication, God's Garden looks to be a solid addition to the map-pool. Neo Medusa has, so far, played much the same way as Medusa did which shouldn't be too surprising except the buildable middle is a pretty big change that no one but Shuttle has taken advantage of thus far. Perhaps as we see more TvPs on Neo Medusa, that'll change.
The 14th's games, to be honest, were much less impressive. In fact, as reality flipped on its head, the most entertaining of the 14th's games were the TvTs. Berserker vs Notice was especially fun and I'd suggest watching those games if you have any appreciation for Starcraft's most glacial mirror match-up. On to the results:

With appearances by Stork, JangBi, Anytime and Reach, the 19th should be a great night for you Protoss fans out there. And with a total of 5 TvP matches over the two days of competition, we should get a good idea of how Neo Medusa's changes will affect that matchup. It's a mild shame that firebathero's match won't be broadcasted live, since we're missing out on a potential mind-altering ceremony, but I don't expect any of the seeds to be upset this weekend, so maybe we'll get a chance at a FBH ceremony in the round of 32. One can hope, anyway... FBH has been slumping lately. We'll see!

As SC2 threatens to explode the BW world, it looks like GOMtv.net is partnering up with Starfeeder.com to further penetrate the foreigner market. With a decent prize pool, the chance to play progamers like Tossgirl and Tasteless & SuperDanielMan providing commentary, it seems like Valor should be entertaining. So keep an eye on it!
