Dear StarCraft II fans,
slowly but surely summer is coming to an end - autumn begins and the end of the year is not that far away. It’s time to retreat to our cozy homes. But certainly we do not hibernate or something. No, we will watch StarCraft II!
Less than a week after Blizzcon, we will kick off the 8th edition of our signature event, the HomeStory Cup . Four fantastic days full of StarCraft II action are coming your way! For the HomeStory Cup VIII powered by XMG, Dennis 'TaKe' Gehlen will again invite 32 players from all over the world to his flat in Krefeld, Germany. From November 14th to 17th, 2013 they will contend for an overall prize pool of $25,000.
For all you eSports fans out there, we will of course have a stream and a live barcraft on location for the whole event. In any case, we promise you a whole package of StarCraft II action, fun, and coziness - a typical HomeStory Cup!

29 players will get a direct invite to the HomeStory Cup VIII. The remaining three slots are taken up by three players who came out first in their regional qualifiers. The three lucky winners are:
One of the 29 invited players has already been announced on our stream - it is the German Zerg Dario
TLO Wünsch. All other invitations will be announced over time, as usual.

The total prize pool for the HomeStory Cup VIII powered by XMG will amount to $25,000. The prize money will be split as follows:
1st Place $10,000
2nd Place $6,500
3rd Place $3,000
4th Place $2,000
5th - 8th Place $875
Since the HomeStory Cup VIII takes place during the WCS off-season, no WCS points will be awarded.

For all those of you guys who have had enough of watching streams at home, we have something special planned for the HomeStory Cup. Located right below TaKe's flat, in the Irish Pub “Limerick’s”, there will be a barcraft for the whole event. At “Limericks”, you can not only follow the events happening one floor above you, you can also become a part of the show itself! You can hang out with other fans, meet your favorite player(s), grab some autographs, and much more.
The "Limerick’s" will open its doors on all days of HomeStory Cup, as soon as the show starts. “Limerick’s“ Irish Pub is located at Wiedenhofstraße 60, 47798 Krefeld, Germany.

Great stuff, I hope Rotti is back as a caster, but I'm pretty sure about it. For the next time I have only one wish: Get a community map into the tourney, something fun. Would definetely fit the tourney and I guess a lot of people get bored by the same mappool over and over again
