Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Me: jim
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim:
Jim: 。。
Jim

Me:"Master Jim, I am truly honored to have an interview with China's strongest protoss competitor. You're not only the strongest in China, but one of the youngest as well. Do you think you are the most influential 17 year old young man in China? Because that's the way I see it."
Jim: I don't think so. Chinese players are all pretty strong, it's just that I'm a little bit younger and that's it.
Me: Did your parents support your decision to become a professional gamer?
Jim: When I first started, they were against it, but after I got my paychecks they supported me.
Me: When did you first become a professional gamer?
Jim: It was back in 2011. I thought protoss was very simple, and slowly suited me, and I just decided to go pro.
Me: When you came to America and placed 5th [at WCS NA Finals], how did you feel?
Jim: I just thought that I should continue, and as long as my visa has no problems, I should make it to the finals. Blizzard and "the club“ [invictus gaming team?] are doing their best right now.
Me: The last time I casted the NeoTV Star League, you belonged to team Tyloo. When did you join invictus gaming?
Jim: March 30th of this year. Tyloo Disbanded their RTS roster, and I was already training at the iG house for a long time, so I thought iG was a pretty suitable choice for me to join.
Me: I think your group at the WCS finals is the "Group of Death". What do you think your chances are?
Jim: Not that great. Maru I've encountered regularly on the ladder and played him a lot. I think there is still a chance none the less, but playing against scarlett will be extremely difficult, I think she is my Kryptonite.
Me: If you could change one thing in SC2, what would you change?
Jim: The tolerance of a mistake. If you have just one weakness, just one mistake usually costs me the game.
Me: If you could change next year's WCS system at all, how would you change the tournament system, the rules and regulations and things of that nature?
Jim: I'm a player, my role is play well in tournaments, you should ask my manager edison for these things.
Me: What is your favorite Chinese taste [food]?
Jim: Sour and Spicy. [sichuanese]
Me: People are saying that when you first came to America you got yourself in to a teeny bit of a calamity. I'd like to hear your explanation of that.
Jim: at the time I was at the airport I got lost, and my phone had no signal, I still had wifi, I promptly went to some forums [NeoTV] to explain my situation, afterwards edison picked me up. It's alright, he and MacSed were the same on the first day. In heart and mind we were balanced.
Me: Have you ever thought of your retirement?
Jim: I haven't. I will always work hard for my career, and I choose that everything that I do should be done well.
Me: How do you think sales of HoTS in China have been? Do you think there is a way to improve it?
Jim: I think the question of tournaments is pretty big. Internally in China [with Chinese organizers, Chinese companies, etc.] there has been almost no tournaments for half a year.
I just want to clarify what Jim means here. IEM Shanghai and CPL Shenyang were NOT organized by Chinese companies / eSports organizations. They were organized by foreign eSports organizers (Turtle Entertainment / ESL) in China, piggy-backing off of Chinajoy and whatever was happening in Shenyang for CPL. These are not domestic Chinese leagues. Continuing on...
Me: Who is the one guy that you never want to play against within China? How about outside of China?
Jim: Within China? MacSed. Outside of China? Polt, Scarlett, and many more...
Me: Besides America and China, have you been to any other countries before? Altogether, how many times have you been outside of China to compete?
Jim: This [going to America for WCS NA] has been my first time ever leaving the country to Compete.
Me: Besides WCS, which tournament have you wanted to compete in the most?
Jim: I definitely want to go to Korea to play in the team leagues. If I could go to Korea to play in team leagues, I will improve a lot.
Me: Have you ever thought about joining a team outside of China? There are ethnically Chinese peopel born abroad everywhere that can still speak Mandarin.
Jim: I never really thought about it even until now. I think I'm not strong enough, and I have a lot of room for improvement. Besides, iG is pretty good in itself.
Me: Do you like Spongebob Squarepants?
Jim: I definitely like [the show].
questions from Chinese netizens at Neotv:
me: What are your thoughts on the grouping and player list?
Jim: It's a very difficult outlet, but I will do my best for every bit of it, even though I may not make it. First and foremost, will I even get my visa?
me: Did you initially think you had a chance to make it out of your group at WCS NA?
Jim: At first, I thought my chances weren't that great. Because of course, after I lost the first game to Jaedong, I thought I could win round 2 and have a chance. It was all very perplexing.
Me: How has all of this standing by in preparation been? Are you satisfied?
Jim: It's Okay. I've just been practicing, not too much, not too little.
Me: Who do you practice your PVT with? How confident are you feeling when it comes to that OSL Champion? [Maru Prime]
Jim: Aside from practicing wth XY, there's no one else to practice with. XY's style, when compared to the Koreans, still has quite the discrepancy. So, I mainly practice on the ladder and see what comes. But on the ladder there's only a 50-50 chance of winning. Its completely different from tournaments...
Me: How is Jim's experience with relationships and girls?
Jim: Never had one.
Me: What kind of girls does jim like?
Jim: The girls that understand me.
Me: Do you have a girlfriend or any female fans?
Jim: I don't have a girlfriend. I don't know if I have any female fans or not.
Me: What are your career ideals and goals?
Jim: It would definitely be to take the world Championship
Me: If you face off against Jaedong again, how do you think your chances will be to beat him?
Jim: I'll do my best. Next time I should have a 60% chance of winning.
Me: Has edison ever taken the opportunity to poke you while your sleeping?
Jim: Nope...
Me: Are you ready to take down Rain?
Jim: PvP is very volatile, anyone can beat anyone.
Me: Finally, what is the last thing you want to say to everyone?
Jim: Thank you everyone for the support, thank you to my team, you will soon see my unyielding progress!
